Y’all better join those school. It has made such and great improvement to the school! It is amazing because im in a such a good place in my high school (ENRICHMENT) and this school in the past was bad but it has the biggest improvements! Changed the bells renovated a lot of rooms and many more! Teachers care a lot more about your learning! I would recommend this school!

Very bad

I wouldn't have gone in an enrichment class because of this school. Even though this school has helped me with my studies it is hard to say that it is good. The school uniform is not compulsory and everyone wears what ever they want.

My child attends this school and I haven't seen or heard of any of this behaviour from the staff there. I have always found the staff to be very approachable and having the best interest of my child's education first.

Parents, please think of your children's education before you enrol them at this school. As one parent to another, I strongly advise against it. The teachers are really lazy, they are all over the place. They only know how to cover their own hides. Do they teach the children anything in class? Absolutely not! Everything my children have learnt has come from me, the parent. I'm educated so I know but what about those kids whose parents aren't? And why should I have to teach my children for something their teachers are being paid to do!? I'm better off home schooling them. Have you ever seen homework sent home that hasn't been taught in class? Not only once but year after year? Has your child been repeatedly bullied in school but nothing has been taken seriously till you have threatened to take the matter higher? The children here are very behind in education, I do worry about my children's education but they are stuck in the only school to take them in the area. Can you picture a school where you have seen the principal a hand full of times? Where is she and what is she being paid to do? I see Mrs Shearman more than I do her and believe she would make a better principle if I had to chose! I foolishly believed that a small school like this would be an advantage as it would mean that my children's classes won't be over crowded and they'd learn more. I was wrong. Alot of kids in this school get extra academic help outside to cover for the uselessness within this school. I know of alot of parents who took their kids out half way because they were academically suffering. All this school knows is how to take money. Every week parents are folking out money, for something... excursions, endless mufti days, programs etc etc. Parent's are constantly complaining about this but most are from non English speaking backgrounds and cannot speak up. Uniforms are pricey and the quality has down graded, the school canteen is expensive and is of mind that kids want to order salads and foccacia sandwiches! It has forgotten that this is a primary school! $2.50 for a small plastic cup Slushie!! It's just ice and flavoring for God's sake, what is $2.50 about it!? While all other schools in the area have websites that promote communication with parents and teacher's one on one about the progress of their children, this school doesn't! Where is the talent shows I hear of in other schools!? A Year 6 Fete where there is only 2 rides at a cost of $4 each, and everything else priced $3+. Has this school really forgotten that it is a school for primary aged kids? Candidates for SRC is chosen by teachers and not by students, talk about crushing the hopes of those kids who really wanted to run for it. Students Representative Council - student's should choose the candidates they want representing them, not by the teacher's who think he or she is better for the role. I also have to mention the lack of care at this school. Last year a bomb threat was made and a letter sent home at 3pm. There was such a threat and I wasn't notified as a parent till I came to pick them up from school and what makes it worse is that the parents had no idea what had happened because the letter sent home was written in English! I have heard of children who have required medical attention on school grounds and ONLY parents were notified. Recently, a child under the responsibility of the school during a Musical Games Night went missing for 2 hours! The child was taken by a family member without the permission of the parents! This is ridiculous. If this school is still functioning it is because the parents do not know English, their rights or the resources they have and that is why these teachers are so comfortable. I really would love for the Board of Education to crack down on this community of lazy staff at APS. Save yourself the headache Parents, take them elsewhere if you can. I really cannot stress out how bad this school is, I would hands down vote it as the worst in Sydney. Parents, I cannot do much on my own but if the rest of you were to come forward we could make this school better! They've got to comfortable and our kids are falling behind because of it. I really hope the Board of Education will see this review and start looking into it.

Worst school, saying it from a selective student. The teachers are very lazy and don't thoroughly go through the curriculum. Everyone in that school are so behind from the curriculum that I literally daydream during class because I already knew everything about what the teacher is teaching to the class. The teacher literally had to get extra worksheets for me because I was soooo ahead of everyone. This was after 'enrichment' classes was removed. Even though I was in the 'enrichment' it didn't even have smart kids, it was just the kids who were slightly, SLIGHTLY, ahead of everyone in normal classes of course. 'Enrichment' class was removed because there wasn't ENOUGH people, that just tells the whole story about this school, don't make me start on the principle too. She made us do yoga, she said it was 'COMPULSORY' and said it was 'IMPORTANT' for high school. This fricking school made me miss 9 months of work because my fricking class was soo behind. 9 months because the other 3 months were from studying for selective. I don't recommend this school unless it gets better over the years but just don't even think about goin to this school or even talk about it.

cont of 11 Sep 2017, Rate: bad. a slip. The teachers will scream at you and never treat you with respect. There is an excessive amount of favoritism at this school.
