i graduated a couple years ago from this school and i honestly loved it. i met so many great friends however i wasn’t taught much at all, and it was hard to transition to high school but regardless the school made my experience of primary school a lot of fun

I am a recent graduate and I think there's a big mix of good and bad at the school. The facilities are pretty good and some of the teachers were really good like Mr Pryde, Ms Gibbs etc. and they were trying their best with the resources they had compared to other teachers. Most of all I remember being really bored at this school they didn't go into depth about anything and they just skimmed past certain subjects. I remember one-year science was just one experiment led by the teacher and I don't remember doing anything more than colouring in for HSIE. The school often brags about its 'Newman Program' which wasn't even that good though even if it was what about the other 90% of students. They barely taught you English and math and unless you were self-taught you would struggle. Nothing that amazing about this school and it could've been a lot worse and that's why I think it's quite average. I did make a lot of long-lasting friends here and my memories with them overshadow certain educational parts so I don't regret going here.

I attended this school from kindergarten to year 6 and although I have done well in high school, it is not the best quality of a school. Their religious education program is quite good. The science, history and geography weren't well catered for. PDH was ok and English got slightly better in year 6. Extension maths classes were provided but they were still not as high as it should've been. A special needs program was also provided but to my knowledge, wasn't the best as a special needs student in my class ran out of the school and also left the school. An enrichment Newman extra program is provided which I really enjoyed but it was from outside teachers, not the teachers. They made unnecessary rules, took away half of the playground and lockers and the principal didn't listen to the students. The principal is very nice but when promoting student's voice, and then a student uses this, they aren't listened to. I did enjoy my time at the school and made really good friends, most of which I am still friends and the kindergarten students were great. Some students in years such as year 4 were rude.

I believe I learnt nothing from my past experience at this school. The teachers didn't pay attention to the things children were doing and what they were learning. During math class changes, it took about 25 minutes to swap, 15 minutes to settle in which left only 5-10 minutes of actual work. I unfortunately have to inform you that I don't suggest sending your children to this school, there is no care for the learning, and the children will struggle in high school by not understanding things that were meant to be learnt in primary school.
