Very bad school I guess. High school is much better, the work there was too easy

I graduated a few years ago, and I am very grateful for having my primary education at EPS. The teachers were lovely and offered fantastic support when needed. Louise taught me in prep and I still remember her clearly, she was so kind and understanding even though I was very annoying.
Almost the entire student body, teachers and parents disliked(to put it mildly), Dolores, the previous vice principal. I remember one lunch time she shouted at me for breathing too loudly and distracting others. I was a sensitive kid with breathing issues, so I burst into tears. She just left. Fortunately I hear she has left.
Another issue is the 5/6 building which utilises a big group layout, making learning impossible. Multiple classes were conducted in the same room, so what one person said could be heard by more than a hundred others. So imagine more than 100 tweens and early teens packed into one giant room for more than 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. That was pretty much the 5/6 experience in a nutshell.
In Grade 6, received a scholarship to a great school and without my foundation at EPS I am certain I could not have achieved this.

Best school EVER

My child has been in this school since prep and we found this school to be very friendly and good. Academically they are far advanced compared to other kids from different school. There is opportunity for smart kids to have extensions and kids who need support are taken care off as well.
Discipline is a part of schooling and it must not be misunderstood to being unfriendly.
I would recommend this school to parents who want their kids to excel academically and for overall development

I strongly believe that this school is the best school, because not matter what, we are a team and we help each other.

The leadership in this school is atrocious. Vice principal Dolores reminds me of a broken robot. She is disorganised and extremely unfriendly. Principal Christine Nash is similar to a spineless jelly fish. She has no concept on how to speak to parents and comes across as extremely arrogant. The teaching staff must be saints to put up with the nonsense that they dish out. The parents at the school are mostly friendly, but there is also quite a few that can make your life a living nightmare- more bling than humility it seems.

I have been a parent at EPS for a number of years. The school is a very different place to what it was when I first enrolled my eldest child. Staff have come and gone, principals have come and gone, but what has remained constant is that my children have received solid foundations in their education and have been happy whilst being on their learning journeys. The current principal is far from being dismissive of parent's concerns but rather 'concerned' if as a parent I have any issues. I have always felt supported and enjoyed the relationship I have had with many of the staff as they work in partnership with me to educate my children. As for the staff my children have experienced many different teachers and I can not say that any of the teachers have not been dedicated to what they do. The parents that are currently teachers at the school I am sure have invested interest in what kind of curriculum is being delivered at EPS and how it is being delivered as their children are part of the learning environment. EPS is a school that continues to strive to be the best school it can possibly be, I am grateful for the experiences and the friends I have made at the school and look forward to being part of more great things as the school moves forward.

We have enrolled our son here this year and are extremely pleased with the school. The principle has been more than concerned and helpful in a few areas that have arisen and we are overall extremely happy with the school environment. LOTE program, art, music, sport, literacy and the trialling of a new maths program have been great for our son who is one of the youngest in his class. Exceptional teaching from his Prep Teacher Tanya has made our sons transition into school a happy and settled one! And we love the multiculturalism of this school, esp. coming from a bilingual family ourselves.

I carefully researched the school before I chose it, and I have been very pleased with the school throughout the last five years, now I have three children enrolled here. I think there are several stand-out features in the school: the LOTE (Japanese) program is brilliant; the school house system is great for fostering leadership opportunities; the music and arts has dedicated teachers. Of the teaching staff, I think they are well-qualified and constantly undergoing professional development. My kids have always excelled academically so I certainly have no issues with teacher performance -what relevance is whether or not some have kids at the school? All I can say to prospective parents, is go and take a look at the school and judge for yourselves.

Our eldest child has started prep this year at EPS and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience. From a social and academic perspective, we have been blown away by our daughter's progress. If the next 12 years are as happy, positive and successful as this first one, we will be delighted.

This school has drastically changed since enrolling my children The dedicated teachers have left , being replaced with the fundraising parents from the school. Too many parent teachers have been employed. School is overcrowded no yard so many new enrolments from children from outside the school zone.

Unfortunately I think the school has drastically deteriorated academically, since the new principal was appointed. The principal is very dismissive of parent?s concerns, and rather than addressing issues does everything within her power to cover them up.
