I’m a former teacher here at the college, the staff are rude and think they are funny and tough. Pff u work at IMCC lower ur ego please. Only thing I liked about it was going home and shit talking with my favourite students. The only time staff talked to me was when they couldn’t control their class and wanted me to yell at innocent students. The girls weren’t aloud certain colour hair, the classrooms were atrocious and the school in general lacks everything; money, hygiene, respect ect. Do not recommend sending your child here unless you want them to be a high school drop out.

very bad most teachers keep us in, blazers cost nearly 200 dollars, i do not recommend going her, the amount of predetorial bhaviour in the boys lockerooms and the staff do nothing about it, all the school wants is money, money and money, lisen to all the other reviews and see if im lying.

I am a student attending IMMC. Bullying is very bad and doesn't get put to a stop. Hygiene problems are very poor, bathrooms are disgusting, rubbish everywhere in the school and gum under all the desks.

Im a student here I used to love the school in year 7 im in year 9 now and the schools really showing its true colours the teaching system is really poor and the teachers only care about your appearance and theres also this stupid camp that you have a attend apparently compulsory in year 9 making it compulsory makes me not wanna go at all.

former student. awful. make a snack and get comfy. big mention to #3.
1. major red flag about the school psychologist. don't remember her name, she said about my friend, "if they were actually suicidal they'd have killed themselves by now, does that make sense?" unbelievable. apalling. disgusting even. if that were true then there would be no suicidal people on earth since they'd all be dead. her logic, like her qualifications, is majorly lacking. IMCC, get a better psychologist; your students are suffering enough.
2. the "Irene's service" is exhausting and anxiety inducing especially when you can't do the hours and with the rules of what counts as service and what doesn't. i get that it's trying to teach morals and sh1t but there's high standard for hours in different sectors of your life. with this on top of work my life and my mind was engrossed with school, i couldn't catch a fkn break and i didn't know life was so much better than that until i got out of there.
3. in my unfair experience they did not cater to me as a trans student, had to wear a dress/skirt because i'M nOt lEgAllY rEgiStEreD aS MaLe while another trans guy got to wear boy's uniform. it's just clothing, i could never understand why i couldn't wear a shirt and shorts like i'd be putting more money into the school buying the uniform and i'd feel normal wearing uniform for once... it's a win-win situation??
4. i was obviously struggling with the workload and the work in general but no accommodations were made even when asked for. only got given an A3 calendar of the month to plan my studying times and the "that's not good enough" line. this deteriorated my drive to learn and i just gave up by the end of yr10. dropped out IMCC for yr11 in QBC, far better teaching and accommodations, but then moved to Youth Futures Community School. YFCS is amazing btw.
5. money. it's been said enough.
6. i got dropped down into course 2 because i couldn't do public speaking (anxiety). got moved right back up to course 3 after a term. waste of time, shows how faulty the system is and how much they actually care for students' learning. i think they care more about how it would reflect on them as a school.
i have tried to see this school in a good light. i can't. there were only a handful of good moments with friends, they made it just a bit more tolerable. misery loves company, i guess.

I love this school, is a private school so yes it has rules that’s why i wanted my kids to be there. ATAR subject well if the child doesn’t put their weight on then why can they expect to get the score?. Nothing is perfect but they are really caring I have kids with ADHD and they are doing really well.

People whinging they don't like the school because they have no interest in learning religion or how expensive it is or how strict it is. Are you for real? It's a private Catholic College what did you all expect. If you hate it that much then there's always the delightful Butler College if you prefer going public. Pretty sure I know what school i want my kids to be in. Most kids hate strict teachers anyway, doesn't mean the school is bad. Having a high fee in my opinion attracts a certain class anyway!

Poor leadership, from Principle & head of years. I agree that the new principle is very money/fee orientated. I would not recommend this school

I would highly not recommended this to anyone especially with the new principal he doesnt care for the students and is only in it for the money and wants to make as much as he can not caring about the students, the teachers have no concern for the children and are constantly telling me "if you dont get a good enough atar you wont get into uni and theres nothing else to do" and put so much pressure on people, but ive only got a year left so wish us luck

Since the new headmaster has arrived he is doing all he can to price your average family out of attending having changed the sports uniform so you can't buy second hand, Year 7's to wear Blazers, ridiculous and at $170 a throw and we are now in the middle of January and no closer to knowing how much all of this is going to cost when most schools have made parents aware of costs in December

Its all about money ^ I hate to see my parents pay this much money, when really the education is no different to a public school. Parents are basically paying 6,000 a year for their child to be thought religion which not all students have an interest in. If students are going to though times teachers do abousoltly nothing to resolve matters. I've been bullied a lot at Imcc and I have told teachers and nothing has changed. Not all , but most of the teachers are extremely rude and I strongly recommend not to attend Imcc for your own benefit. It's waisting your money.

This school is amazing and very highly recommended. Many people complain and try to make excuses about IMCC and how bad it is when in reality it is just because they cannot cope. The principal and all of the staff are so lovely. You learn so much here at IMCC. It is an extremely excellent school.

All they want is money. Money, money, money. They ask for money everyday and paying for a year is not worth $6000.

My daughter got very low marks when she attended this school. She always bugs me about teachers not letting her have recess and lunch. Not very good.
By Student - 21 Aug 2014, Rate: bad
The school is highly NON RECOMMENDED. I don't even think the cleaners do anything, the toilet facilities are revolting. The teachers are mean and they always keep you in for recess and lunch and the uniform has to be perfect. It is very strict. I was put in what it felt like labour not long ago. We were forced to carry 2 chairs up steep stairs for an hour and that was our English lesson, doing that. My arms were sore so I carried 1 chair and the lady screamed at me! I almost fell back and I could have broken bones! My parents are very unhappy with this school and are taking me out at the end of the year thank god. It is also very crowded with way TOO MUCH people.
I'm , rate this school
