Be careful if your child has any problems that aren't sorted out at teacher level. I think you have to judge a community on how it looks after its most vulnerable members, so I'm rating it "poor".
The teachers are mostly excellent; a few were outstanding and helped deal with a bully who physicallly and emotionally harassed our child.
When we eventually had to escalate it to "Executive" level (so our child could attend full-time instead of having to leave every time and qualify for an ATAR) we were eventually told that the school wouldn't apply any consequences to the other student because it "wouldn't work."
We approached Catholic Education Canberra Goulburn, thinking they might be able to provide specialised behaviour management support to the school, but they simply suggested our child "try not to focus" on the other student.
Our child's GP finally sent a letter (one of many written requests for the school to take it more seriously) saying she wasn't comfortable for our child to attend on site until the issue was resolved.
We asked for support with learning from home on medical grounds, but the school couldn't provide that.
The other student, who'd repeatedly violated the Student Behaviour Agreement, several school policies and even the law, has presumably completed their education.
We ended up withdrawing our child a few weeks into Year 11.
Our child should have been graduating and looking forward to formal etc around this time. The damage this has all done is unbelievable.
The whole situation didn't add up; our child had withdrawn from classes to avoid this other student, was restricting where they went out of class time, and for over a year, our child barely attended a full day because of the other student hassling them.
We kept trusting the assurances that it was being dealt with, and we stuck with it because the teachers and friends at school meant so much to our child.
Just before we withdrew our child, the Principal said something that lead us to think the other parents had threatened legal action/going to the media if the school even so much as prevented the other student from participating in class.
We since found out that there are differences in accountability between government and non-government schools. Also that you can get police involved if things happen on school grounds - the law still applies. Don't try to be "nice" in your dealings because your child will probably pay the price.
Having said all this, we had another child go through earlier who escaped the notice of bullies and was fine. The teachers are amazing for the most part.

The school it’s self is fine, other than they tell us to express ourselves but when we do with piercings, jewellery, fake eye lashes or nails we r sent to detention. I under stand like eyebrow piercings and things like that but a simple nose stud? Or more than one earring in ur ear/ two. Like come on. Let us express ourselves.

(Was a student) This school is by far the best school I have ever been to I have been to a few high schools and I have never felt so appreciated and looked after like at a school I really appreciate the efforts these teachers go to. Not only do they teach they support their students through the tough times I highly recommend this school to anybody. It's definitely a 10/10 hand down!

I am also one of the many students at St Francis Xavier College that would most definitely recommend SFX to anyone interested in attending. SFX is a great community bonding experience for many ages all the way up to year Twelve. At St Francis Xavier every student is important and will get treated equally as everyone else, not bullying, teasing or harassment is tolerated at St Francis Xavier college, and the Staff are very lovely and always have a smile on their face when we need their help, St Francis just continues to prove to the inside and outside community that every individual is special and unique in their own way and that no one is perfect, but each person will always be special at this amazing school!
