Idc what anyone says I love this school sm, I used to go private for 2 yrs and it was 10x worse. I agree, some people are problematic, so what? Easy, just ignore them. Climb your way up to T class which is the better version of Selective (even more competitive, cutest classes ever. Not biased at all). Most teachers can teach, some can't which is fine cause they're currently training them and I love most of my classes. The only issue I have is teacher bias towards T & S (which is a problem 90% of students have) before, when I was in mainstream they didn't care about students at all and constantly compared them to those classes but with them, they loved them and would give them the better teachers all the time. When I moved up it was better, the thing is you have to try your best in yr 7,8, 9 so you can make your way to the top and get into accelerated subjects. In future, those people will remain your friends and not only will you be successful but they also will be !! You can cry and complain, yell at the teacher, but you're messing up your own future not anyone else's. Most people come to this school and hate it because of the people and teachers, but I promise when you come here you'll be shocked at how good it is, you just have to make friends with the right people, study hard and trust the process !

Blacktown Girls High School, despite the high ratings, does not live up to the standards of a decent school.
Multiple students have had their education experience determined by how their teachers view them. This places them at a disadvantage and can sometimes lead to them being unable to ask for help, based off pure fear or afraid of judgement. This school does not have a staff full of qualified teachers, ready to teach your children. Unqualified teachers are teaching the wrong subjects, leading students to failure and stress. Teachers do not help students feel safe, instead they turn a blind eye to a situation.
This school’s main priority is their reputation and uniform. Your education can be threatened because of your uniform, it is the most important thing to them, or they treat it as if it is. The prices for school uniform are also highly expensive, you can find a much affordable substitute at any other store.
Class time is also often wasted by assemblies which require pointless information, and sometimes can disturb a student’s schedule, irritating not only the student, but for some subjects, the teacher as well.
The school lacks the appropriate facilities and equipment for the students. The bathrooms are kept in an disgusting condition, and certain things like pipe leaks are not taken care of correctly. The school is covered in inappropriate graffiti, including in classrooms and bathrooms. Students aren’t able to work properly on class tasks sometimes as there is either a lack of laptops, or some are facing technical issues.
Students do not have any respect or display any form of human decency. The students at Blacktown Girls High School are entitled and rude. Pushing in public transport, disregarding the public and overall display poor behaviour.
At Blacktown Girls Highschool, you are not guaranteed what the school claims to offer. The school does not follow their own core values, or school motto.

I go to Blacktown Girls High, part of the selective stream and it is extremely underated. it is a really good school, the staff is truly amazing, and the relationship between staff and students are really very strong. I feel like this 'bad reputation' is really from the past, and yes there are some difficult students but they exist everywhere. I think it is important to learn about different kinds of people, because we will meet them in our lives. The school is really not what most people think. Teachers and stdents are really passionate and work in a safe and challenging environment.

First if all, notice how i rated it 'poor'!I am writing as a catholic woman of faith. The behaviour i have witnessed at this juvenile facility is appalling. Just the other day, i was reversing out of church when a tongan young woman of race - i do not wish to assume her race or gender - climbed onto my car and started preaching the devil's words: "youse are cunts". I was disguised by this horrific display of stannic worship. This school clearly has an alliance with the underworld. As a woman of faith, I. simply cannot withstand this demonic behaviour. I recommend that each student immediately receive an exorcism to remove the mark of the devil. Also, a referral to the local parish priest (father Matthew mark-luke-john of the blacktown diocese) would be ideal.

I was a student at BGHS and the experience was awesome. There were a variety of extra-curricular activities that helped me to bond with the other students and the staff. The learning environment is very encouraging and safe. The school also provides many opportunities to grow and become successful. Unfortunately I wasn't able to appreciate any of this whilst attending this school and when I finally left I realized how amazing my experience there actually was. BGHS is a great school and I loved everything about it

My child first game to this school a few years ago, and might I say, she was extremely happy. It did take a bit to find a few friends, however her grades were outstanding, she said the teachers there were excellent, however she has complained a bit about some rebellious students. I've read most of the reviews here and they agree, I think it would be better to not be too lenient on the students, I don't think anyone wants their child under the influence of some delinquents. Overall, I believe BGHS is a pretty good school.

I am a student at BGHS and it is amazing. The school has recently been improved with various new facilities available to the students. The teachers are very respectful and teach well. The uniform is comfortable and is available in a variety of sizes. To improve your appearance a BGHS tie is available from the uniform shop. It is important for all students to respect the teachers no matter the school and class. The selective kids are not bad people. Many people judge them too quickly without getting to know them. They are down to earth people who are nice to you and all you have to do is approach them well and try get ot know them better. I have seen and heard things about many other schools and many of them are worse than BGHS. When I was in year 6 many people said that BGHS was bad without going to the school. I have been here for 3 years and have met many new people both students and teachers. I have also found a close group of friends who I will treasure for the rest of my life. I am very disappointed with people who assume that Blacktown Girls High School is bad without actually going there. PS. The HSC results are also very good. _ _ _ _

First of all, whoever was dissing the selective class needs to fix their grammar and understand that you cannot make a judgement based on someone you are not in close acquaintance with. Secondly, although this school follows the syllabus, it does not meet the standards of other government schools, however, this school does offer an acceptable amount of extra-curricular activities which most students actively participate in. Thirdly, although there may be some kids who are immature and rebellious THIS ONLY MAKES UP THE MINORITY OF THE STUDENTS.

This school is honestly one of the best in the area for girls willing to apply themselves. I would agree that there are many very rude and delinquent students. But goodluck in trying to find a school without. One of my only gripes is that the selective stream is highly prioritised and from the moment they’re in high school they are taught they are the best acedemically, morally, essentially that they’re above everyone else. This elitistism is so toxic to the whole grade but ultimates hurts everyone. Many more opportunities are given to the selective class, making other students feel terrible and worthless. However when you get to your senior years and he selective stream ends, the teachers, office staff and your peers will all become close to you. Again, like at most public schools, your daughter will have to apply herself to succeed, if she doesn’t it doesn’t matter where she goes or went to, once she gets to uni she will struggle. All staff at the school want the best for your daughters, some can be harsh but from my experience they won’t need to be if your daughter does the work, participates and is generally a good student.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, it was the staff and close-knit senior students who helped me grow and flourish. In my experience I’ve never seen a year advisor, mine, the year before or the after’s not be attentive to their year. Also, i must mention the office staff who are incredibly wonderful.
Do consider this school.

it's okay, most of the teachers are nice. not many clubs, not many electives but its still good in terms of subjects such as math, english etc. the classrooms aren't the 'newest' (except for the science labs) but they aren't totally crap. so-so school after all.

I'm a student at this School.This is a good school because all the teachers are nice to all the students, I love Black-town Girls High School. This is to all the primary school students if your looking for a high School I think Black town Girls High School is the best place to be.I LOVE to play sports and I just love PD lessons . Last term we were learning about health in PD but this term we are learn about My Body and me. I love bounce because its really about you, and Mrs HO is the Bounce teacher. I myself am in the selective stream, and I can assure you that this school is great. However, the problem for some of our students is that they don't put any effort into school, so they receive bad marks. Then they blame the school and the teachers.

for those who say that bghs is terrible school they are wrong. if you dont the school, the answer is simple, move. all schools work under exact same department, its not like they make up the work that we receive in class and even if you move you will have to deal with the same thing again. when you say bghs is a ratchet and bad school, it really isnt, you make it look ratchet and bad by dong the wrong thing thinking that you are all cool but no yo really arent .

This school is terrible. The science teachers don't know anything, my english teacher doesn't do anything. The uniform is the most uncomfortable thing ever and it dies not cater to every body shape. The canteen is really over priced and the sport selections are just ew, disgusting. Your daughter will be better off in a foster home then at Nagle.

At the start of the year I said that this school is good. Well I was so very WRONG!!! If you like going on school camps, this place is not for you. The school won't take there students on school camp, yet on many excursions. It's so stupid. And apparently only the top 2 classes get to go on excursions. It's really insulting because I'm in the class under the talented class. Students also graffiti everything and they smoke in the toliet cause there so desperate. One more thing is some of the students and teachers. The students in my class will NOT SHUT UP. It is so irritating. The teachers are not really teaching me anything I understand. Well anyway that is all I have to say

One of the worst high schools I went to. The learning environment is terrible if you were not in the top class. Teachers can't control classes. Girls smoking in bathrooms + graffiti. A lot of biased teachers. Maths & science department suck but humanities and PE department was good. Plus a lot of bullying occurred & went unnoticed.

I'm a student at BGHS and I think it is the best school in my area. But for some reason the school has a bad reputation with yr6. I'm not sure why I think this school is really good although I wish the girls would wear there skirts a little longer it would make a huge difference and I wish they would give out less homework because I'm lazy. This is also a good school because the teachers and students are friendly and u actually learn better at all girl schools.

as a student i would like to say that this school is a good school. the teachers are all really friendly and are willing to help with anything. every school will have its flaws and not everything will live up to your expectation. overall this school does have high expectations for us students and only do what they believe is the right thing to do. i would recommend this school if you want good education. don't listen to rumors and don't start any. allow your self to make up your own mind.

I used to go to this school and it is the best school I have ever seen I graduated this year I will miss you Blacktown teachers especially my favourite Ms Udovcic and Ms Perry. A great well rounded school. Look if your daughter wants to learn, she will learn here. They give you great opportunities and they are there for the taking. If your child wants to be a slacker then they can do that at a public or private school. It all starts at home.

What can l say about Blacktown Girls? Let me firstly talk about the uniform. Girls wear it as if it is a fashion thing. I am a student here at Blacktown Girls High School and l am always disgusted by the shortness of the skirts and the non-related clothes worn in place for the uniform. Secondaly, the make-up these girls wear. It is innapropriate. There is something that should be worked on and someone should be brought in to enforce the no make-up to go along with correct uniform. Thirdly, some of the faculty. They are unable to stick with the disciplin they say they do and it is unfair to see students disrespecting the teachers like that. And then when they are told off for not doing the work, homework or assignments, they simply make up a ridiculous excuse for their wrong's. There are more l could say, but l think this statement sums up what l think about Blacktown Girls High School. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
