I am an ex student of this nightmare school, I spent a year and a bit here from year 7 to about a quarter of the way through year 8, during my time here I was being harassed by an at the time year 10-11 student who would follow me around, make me insanely uncomfortable and when I told the deputy for my year she said ignore him it’s just because he likes me, I was 11, he was 15, Before I left I got bullied every day and eventually jumped by a group of 15 girls , I took time off school and when I was ready to return I was pulled out of first period and told I was not able to return for the safety of others, when I tried to leave this hell hole the deputy wouldn’t allow it. Absolutely nothing good about this school if you are considering sending your kids here please don’t

I can't wait for my kids to get out of there. The bullying is terrible, vapes sold and given out freely in the playground. Students, swear at the Teachers and have punch ups in the classroom. My kids grades have dropped dramatically. Unfortunately zhere is no alternative public School that is any better. I find the Teachers approachable and genuine but some seem to have given up.

It was a disgrace. I went forless than a semester. The kids swear at teachers, the English program is virtually nonexistent, and the kids are awful. Sure I made acquaintances but they are all generally rude kids who don’t care about their friends or their grades. It’s not their fault the teachers don’t care and the system is bad. 10/10 don’t recommend.

I think the minister of education needs to take a good look at this school the way it is run and re established everything about it

I was a student at Elizabeth macarthur for 2 years, i left as the teachers are horrible!!! All they care about is the uniforms and how the schools looks.. they don’t care about students health or education that’s the last thing they worry about. The deputy principal assumed i had a mental health issues and stated this multiple times when i never had any. They told my parents i suffer from ADHD, don’t you think if i had it my parents would know by now!! Don’t send your child here if you want them to be mentally destroyed. this school doesn’t provide any education or support throughout your school years! The principal and deputy’s are absolutely disgusting people!

Terrible school to send your kids… No organisation skills. This school is not equipped with dealing with bullies.

The worse school. Kids smoke in the courtyard. Selling drugs and vapes. The school has no control when it comes to bullying kids. The school turns their back on you. The principal is not compassionate at all. Instead, she hangs up on a distressed parent. The deputy is the same he's too busy worrying about how he looks and what he’s wearing. My 2 kids hated this school. I strongly don’t recommend sending your kids to this school. First hand I've witnessed they don't have your child’s back.

Teachers have very obvious favourites which is fine until it affects how other students in class learn. When one of your year 12 students is babysitting your kids and they suddenly start getting really high assessment marks in their HSC year where it matters, that's not normal. Also, this school cares significantly more about their outside image than the actual well-being of its students. They've made countless renovations (some of them pointless, like the wooden chairs in the quad that haven't been sanded down so the edges cut into your legs and the painted doors, the ones at the demountables are also not finished and still have yellow edges if i remember correctly.) but have done nothing to improve student life at their school. I also have never heard of anyone having a positive experience with the school counsellors, myself included. When I went to her about my parents arguing, she spent an hour talking about her and her husbands issues instead of helping me with mine (you know, her job ?).

I got accussed of cheating in some really big assignments leading up to HSC and the teachers never cleared it up with me before hand, thy waited till after the HSC to tell me that they thought i was cheating. My ATAR was impacted a heap because of this and i wasn't even cheating. Basically the teachers just suck at communicating things to students. Also putting a powerpoint up and changing the slide every 15 minutes isn't teaching!!!!!!!!! but that's all that more than half of the teachers there ever did. The entire science staffroom sucks as well except Ms Lane shes awesome. But the rest horrible, couldn't teach and wouldn't change their methods even after an entire grade failed multiple assignments . Pretty poopoo school not gonna lie

Sending my child to this school, I’ve received a lot of trouble, there is heaps of interference in parents and familial life’s from other teachers, I won’t say that everyone in this school has had a bad experience from teachers messing up parents life’s because apperantly they’re abusive or not good parents. Basically, I just simply want to point out that this school has teachers that will not respect your privacy or your wishes to keep personal matters that you share with teachers private. They will consult other teachers and confront your parents. This girl I was friends with had social workers coming into her house because a gay student from the school made a report that she’s been abused. With no evidence and just a mere report, the police were sent on her. Another student had the police called on her and her parents called when she confided in a teacher that a boy had sent her nudes. This school basically exegerates every little situation and turns it into involvement with the police or social workers

Terrible school ! As a student I wanted what’s best for me. Good education and environment but this school was NOT the best. It is very easy to truant classes, even when students are in class they’re constantly on their mobile phones or multiple conversations making it hard to learn , teachers making students feel uncomfortable in their own school, crowded fights during lunch times , bullying especially and so much more ! I highly recommend Elderslie High School. Good education and expectations.

After reading these reviews, personally I agree to some of them, the school has improved and changed. I'm a student, part of the SRC (Student Representive Council) and I have noticed all the changes throughout the years. We have more support, especially from teachers. We have more events which makes the school a fun place! But I personally think the selective status could improve.

Students find it very easy to walk out of school during the day, smoking on the side or back gate of the school and not only that, the teachers care more about the schools reputation than what's actually going on inside. If you want your child to attend a great school, Mount Annan High school is right

too much bullying. Children smoking, swearing & being disrespectful

Far below the standard that it used to be. Most Teachers are unhelpful and non caring. Principal more interested in being seen as nice and popular than making sure students tow the line. Staff and teachers have no idea who or what their students are about. HSC preparation is dismal to say the least! Guiding of senior students to pick subjects right for them is non existence. Bully rift and depending who is being bullied and who is doing the bullying depends on if there is action or not. Year advisors next to useless. Not least bit interested in students. The small amount of decent teachers get ignored and undermined by principal and other teachers. Favouritism is rampant here by teachers. Needs a complete overhaul with new principal and some staff members replaced. Would never recommend this school.

A shadow of what it used to be with many of the teachers that used discipline gone or too scared to do so as they are limited greatly. The Principal is a big softie who could benefit greatly from some old fashioned common sense used by Richard Leeman and Rex Beech. Never have I seen so much truancy at a local school.

It's a really great school the teachers have always supported us,less violence,a lot of opportunities inside the school so the only way I can sum it up is that the school is doing great progress and should continue doing so

I moved from that school. Some of the students are feral, you see students in the bathroom smoking, many students skipping class, swearing, physical fights and punch ups between students, horrific bathroom (graffiti), gum on the floor, battered lockers and show-off wanna be cool kids (girls wearing short short skirts, cake faced makeup, guys who are dirty minded, swear a lot and smoke) and a lot of violence (even the principal was stabbed in the arm).
I think the teachers are good, they just can't control their students. Other than that, they are dedicated, but it's hard to teach when you have kids there tapping away on their phones and being rude. I feel sorry for the kids there who want to learn... I am glad I moved! The Year Adviser doesn't care enough for their year. At my current school our Year Advisers will have a grade meeting once a fortnight to ensure we're all on task and they'll discipline us. They're willing to interview each student to monitor their progress.

this school is the best school that my child has ever been in. And they can speak english
By Alumnus - 07 Aug 2013, Rate: poor
These teachers are pathetic the cant speak English nor can they teach it. There teachers who can not even speak English... They had such a poor result in the year 12 trial exams that they re issued the test to the students and gave them two weeks to take it home and complete the test....
