School uniforms are very expensive and are made a bad brand and the canteen is very expensive I cannot afford food it is $8.50 for a salad and the school uniform used to be made by champion now it’s made by daylight and it doesn’t last long:(

This school is so biased always never listens to the students story and the deputies always back up the teachers even if they are wrong.. it’s like they don’t even read the students reports and if they do they will always believe what the tecaher would say

Things used to be good back then when my brother was here. Now some teachers are less motivated to educate students.Rather than communicating and asking students for their weakness, they lecture and don't communicate to students or encourage them to continue their studies.Telling them to drop school or drop a subject, and asking their purpose doing the subject. Some may play favourites and are sexist.I personally think that sometimes the school deputies don't dilemma situations appropriately and can be outrageous.I'm not saying that all the teachers are that but most are bubbly and positive and help achieve your goals and are willingly to help.Compared to other schools the assessments tasked are scheduled ridiculously.Having 2-3 assessments due in on week.

Loved my experience at CVHS, they helped me get into my dream course at Macquarie University and do things I've always thought were bigger than me.

This school does insanely well. The teachers are always committed to helping their students. There is not just a focus on maths. It just seems as though mathematics is our strong point like how other schools are with english for instance. The extension classes are opened to most students and these classes usually take in over twice/triple times they are allowed to at the beginning. This gives them the opportunity to show their knowledge but gradually decreases as students choose to drop it. It is well regarded as one of the best 'disadvantaged' schools in new south wales. It truly is.

This school emphasises mathematics a lot! While ironically only having about 2-3 teachers competent enough to teach the subject. If you dont have a tutor for maths and english, your atar is pretty much screwed because the cohort is very aggressive and competitive. The head teachers are a bunch of asses because they only take a number of students for each advance/extention classes, only basing it on your half yearlies even though you are assessed throughout the year, so you think less than you actually are. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone unless it is their last option.
I'm , rate this school
