I started schooling at pius in year 6, 2012 and graduated in 2018 and I believe the school is a great place for quality education. Although I was not a high achiever or major book worm, I saw that the teachers really helped those students who are really struggling and to those who put in 110% to help them get their highest marks. The teachers will ignore and ridicule students who are disruptive and don’t care about their education which was usually funny to watch unfold in classes. Bullying at pius was a bit of a problem and the culture evolved in later years I found where it would become less direct (not physical or name calling to your face) and would become more of a “taking the piss” out of someone whether that be online or in group situations. There were popular groups in my grade who were funny blokes but had the tendency to sometimes take the piss out of people too hard and bullied them without maybe realising their jokes weren’t as funny as they seemed. Altogether though most of the boys at pius are great and will be potentially life long mates. Any issues arising from bullying or teacher issues are dealt with very well by mr couani the principal who I admired a lot. A creepy substitute teacher once made some inappropriate comments and actions against some students and myself in class and as soon as I reported it he was fired for misconduct.

This school has been a great asset to my life, if you are considering sending your son to this school I would highly recommend it. It has a very inclusive community and a very understanding one two.

Was a student from 2005-2010. Was recently reminded how much this place messed with my head. While I respect that some teachers tried their best to help in the end the culture was so toxic and xenophobic that I gave up and had to leave the school. From what I hear recently, not much has changed.
If you have a young boy who is a kind, gentle
and a little different in anyway... don't send him here. This place will ruin him.

No wonder it's a place for bullies. Only 18 percent are non-English and it's not very multicultural.

I am a parent and both my sons attend the school they have never complained once both enjoy the school so much, they have both stated they wouldn't want to go to any other school and even said if they have a son they would send him to Pius. There is a real sense of spirit in the school staff are very caring. I would recommend it Pius it is good value for money.

Above is a troll probably by someone who lost to Pius in soccer. The school is absolutely excellent there is a strong sense of social justice within the school and the teachers do care unlike stated in the above.

The problem with Bulling is that some boys are silent, which the school absolutely discourages.
St Pius is a large all boys school and like all schools this size it is inevitable that there will be some boys who will try to exert their testosterone.
In my experience, as soon as I made the principal aware of my concerns, over a small matter, which could have escalated, it was instantly dealt with and continued to be monitored weeks after.
All my sons attended St Pius X and I found that they do indeed have a Zero Tolerance approach to Bulling and I have no hesitation praising the school for this

I went to Pius from Year 5 (2004) to Year 10 (2009) and I can tell you 150% that I will NOT put my future kids through such torture. The majority of the boys were cruel and loved to bully others (I was a victim of this, particularly in 2009). A lot of teachers too did not care about your wellbeing and swept bullying matters under the carpet. Honestly, they are all full of hot air about their sot-called \"zero tolerance policy\" towards bullying. If yoau really want a fantastic school, I HIGHLY recommend St. Andrew's Cathedral School. It is a coed school in the heart of the city and it was where I moved to for Years 11 & 12 (graduated in 2011). Best decision of my life. So DO NOT send your kids to Pius. It is the worst form of cruelty. EVER.
