I do not recommend because there is a lot of reasons, for example people in my school are really rude and especially my friends are known be to be what you call anarchist views meaning they don’t respect and care about others, they think about being cool and having a lot of girls. Another problem with my mates is political views, it really angers me that some of my mates support Russia and Putin especially the current invasion of Ukraine and it’s just absolutely awful and it breaks my heart that they don’t care about the people suffering under this brutal war and the Ukrainians fighting for their freedom and democracy and Those who like Russia are disgusting human beings who are completely heartless. Another problem is that I’m always excluded by them and they don’t think I’m very cool and I fully understand it’s not everything and I don’t care on what they think but at the same time I’m embarrassed. After writing this review I’m never hanging out with them ever again. And one last thing but it’s positive and speaking of the Ukraine bit I want say, SLAVA UKRAINE

As a former parent of Redlands who put four children through the school, from Kindergarten right through to Year 12, and enjoying the sailing and snow programs, it's concerning to see changes in senior teaching staff.
Perhaps evaluating the performance of the school board and considering whether they are making decisions in the best interest of the students is a valid concern. The Board should not punish teachers for the poor performance of the Board and what is seen as the Board's own ineffective and inadequate performance.
Effective education often requires a balance between educational expertise and an understanding of the real-life needs of students and parents. It would be helpful for parents to engage in open communication with the board to express their growing concerns and seek solutions.
It is extremely disheartening to read the many negative reviews of Redlands. It is shocking to see this complete turnaround from the greatness the school once was. Redlands may never have been a top 10 school, but it was known as a fully integrated and comprehensive provider of education, allowing its students to become successful all-round achievers.

The school deals with kids diagnosed with ADD by insisting on medication. Learning support team not effective and not integrated enough. Felt that our kids were stigmatised.

Best school ever
My kids have been attending since year three and I am so proud and have no regrets

The pay was decent but I left as I could not witness the unethical behaviour by management and the Board. Lots of racism and all the focus was on high performing kids or kids of very rich families.

This school expelled me because of something that is none of their business
They only cared about what their social standing was. Didn’t care for shit about my education or treated me with fair judgment

Don't go to this school!! I was offered a blow job by an English teacher and anal from a Music teacher and the janitor walked into math and started twerking!! The canteen serves horse shit!! Under the canteen, there are stables where I smelt it. Then I saw them. The horses were all swimming in a pool of their own shit!! All of a sudden a canteen staff member pushed me in and for two weeks I was swimming in shit!!

Senior school doesn’t cater for clever students. They get bullied (not necessarily by students…). Favouritism runs rife. Kids feel they have to be liked by teachers who make it obvious if they are not. Pro-feminism has gone mad there. Boys can’t say boo to goose. Girls feel they have to little miss perfect. Woke teachers, politically motivated board (left, left left). Look at the academic rankings in relation to other similar schools - way way way down the list. You will not get bang for your buck. Complaints result in closed ranks amongst the academic management. Sweep it under the carpet stuff. The few good teachers that were there have moved on. Still considering bringing misconduct charges against two of the teachers - one being a year coordinator. Disciplining of students relies on tell-tale type investigations. I got heartily sick of the whole thing. The place isn’t a patch on what it was only a few years ago. The whole environment needs a shake up. They should be concentrating on the students achievements but they are not. It’s a mess.

Awful experience for both our children.

This school made me severely depressed. I wanted nothing more than to go to Mosman or any other secondary school.
Other students were judgemental and mean. Teachers didn't care about bullying and gave us loads of homework / assignments even though we were already swamped with work.
The school also enforces weird rules such as having to wear your blazer outside of school too and forcing non-athletes to attend the cross country events, time that could be better spent elsewhere.

I used to go to this school, and I thought that it was a decent school. It does has some flaws and did not cater for children who were above average and are not well above average. Good school for dance. Recommend it for dance.

I regret sending my son there. It’s the biggest mistake I’ve made in my life. Terrible school! Does not cater for kid’s need, a completely’ none of my business ‘ attitude. Socialise with teacher and management is the best serving skill in the school. Bullies are protected simply because they have better ‘ relationships’
Now, even travelling around the school area will make us uncomfortable, that’s how bad it is.

Got bullied 24/7 teachers couldn’t care less. They organised students into groups of how smart they are, which lowered the pupils happiness because they were constantly called stupid by pupils and teachers.

I concur with the ‘poor / bad’ reviews above and would like to add, it is a horrific Boys Club (the Executive not the students) that has its head in the sand with just how innovative they are with their Harvard education models however lack any self reflection of how poorly the school is actually delivering education at the grass roots level. A lot of talk about making students ‘life ready’ but not much substance in helping them through academically. I agree with the comment above that this is left to parents who often resort to tutoring. Poor pastural care for both boys and girls (at least no discrimination at this level). Some excellent teachers however most have simply given up and therefore teacher quality has declined considerably. A dull and lifeless school that was once exciting and vibrant but sadly is not anymore.

sometimes i don't wear my seatbelt on the drive to school because i hope i die before i get to school

Poor standards, no community, no follow up with student's results and performance - they push it all onto the parents and take no responsibility for poor teaching or poor behaviour. This is their justification for poor end of year results.

Overpriced and no genuine care for students and parents.
