I am an ex student who sent her daughter to Loreto. I was extremely disappointed that the soul and values of the school had changed. The school needs to work on boarder/day girl Intergratio because it makes friendships extremely difficult. So many boaders with not enough parental guidance. My daughter has started a new school and has felt accepted from day one. Loreto Normanhurst has an excellent marketing department but definitely has lost its soul.

This school was so damaging to my mental health. There is no system, bullies don’t get into trouble. The rowing program is rigged and if your not a favourite you are overlooked. It is so expensive for nothing, your money is going nowhere. The girls are so rude and bitchy. It took me 5 years to leave (as I started in year 5) but it was the best decision I ever made. Do your girls a favour and don’t lock them in with diagnosed depression by sending them to this school.

To be honest, I can't wait for my daughter to leave high school. School fees are crazy expensive and to be honest that money doesn't seem to be going to worthwhile things. No one seems to enjoy music festival except the music students, it is especially hard for boarders. This isn't even a performing arts school so why parents and students alike have to trek it out to Homebush and now the city is beyond me and the ticket prices are just ridiculous. My daughter struggles to fit into life at Loreto and when she was having friendship problems teachers were not helpful in getting it resolved and has thus far scarred my daughter from it again and the uniform length really needs an update, like come on it's not the 40s anymore. Love the teachers though, they're amazing, though the science department (sorry guys), my daughter says the syllabus goes WAY to quickly for an average human to keep up. Pretty good environment, positive and caring towards each other. Boarder food isn't that nice and they should have the right to be able to leave as they please. A fair few things that could use some attention.

I loved every minute of my time at Loreto! An amazing school with passionate teachers who really care about their students (their learning, but also their wellbeing!). All the teachers and students have a wonderful respect for each other.
My fondest memory of Loreto is that everyone acknowledged each other; ALWAYS. Teachers and students (no matter which year they were in), always said "hi" to each other when walking through the school. Manners are instilled in all the students and the teachers lead by example. We were always told that "Loreto girls are 'thank you' girls". As students we always thanked our teachers, showing them how appreciative we were for the effort they put into preparing each lesson and they always thanked us for trying our best.
The most positive and inspiring high school experience you could give to your daughter!!
I can't recommend the school highly enough.
Thank you Loreto!
