our current principal came from a school in the forest and thinks the length of our skirt is more important than learning, our maths program and teachers need help and we pay too much for this school it's overrated don't go here.

very average honestly stupid rules that don't benefit your learning

We have found that we essentially had to replicate her Maths education outside the school. A very expensive exercise.

Comparing the teaching material with siblings you see that Kambala is strong in English and Music but very weak in Science and Maths. The culture is very much about helping the struggling children. The children at the top of the class don't get the support they need. If your child is weak this is a great school for you.

Kambala is stuck in outdated traditions and lacks the courage to move with the times with tired teachers and a lack lustre atmosphere.

If you are looking for a school reminiscent of the 1950's Stepford wife, this is the school for you. This school breeds obedient ladies whom shouldn't ask too many questions, but do as they are told. Due to the fact that over 40 teachers have resigned in the last couple of years, the school is left with teachers that are uninspiring and tired. Kambala is stuck in their outdated traditions and refuses to any way bring its self up to speed. This school will produce obedient employees, not progressive Entrepreneurs of the future.

This school has moved from ability setting to mixed groups. A lot of parents are not happy. If your kids is a top two sets kid beware.

I am a student at Kambala who has started this year. i gave myself a lot of time before writing this review and i believe now is the right time to show my opinion. My parents assured me that the change would be for the better. I can't admit to that though because so far it hasn't met the standard I would have wished. Yes, the first day was better than first days at many of other schools but after the first day you are forgotten about and left to deal with things yourself. if you don't constantly email the teachers you never know anything. i arrived at Kambala and they hadn't even finishing writing my timetable, there were gaps everywhere. I was unsure of where to go. I think that the majority of students are quite uncaring but i do have to point out that the quality of most of the teachers is very good and i have learnt new things already. But there is more to a school than just learning and doing classes. To feel like part of the "school community" you need to feel welcomed and liked by the students and i think that the groups of girls amongst my year just share hatred towards each other. No, there is not any bullying but the groups of girls just judge each other and are not the nicest that they could be. I, as a new student, am trying to find a group that suits me and this is, surprisingly, very hard. i have sat with the most groups i have ever sat with in a school and i have been to six schools in my life. i am really struggling and i find it hard because the groups are not very welcoming towards me. i would just love it if the students were as nice as the teachers were to me. i recommend this school only to parents with daughters who are very out there and are willing to do anything to find friends even if it embarrasses themselves because i feel like this is the only way i am going to be able to make friends here.
