This school is really lowest of lows. You wouldn’t think that from the image they paint online and on social media with their busy schedules and renovations. The teachers (especially for younger year levels) are EXTREMELY obnoxious and quite frankly terrible. A specific teacher to point out is Maria Danielle. What a horrible woman. She speaks to the year 7s horribly, she singles them out and tries to humiliate them when they make a mistake. She takes sides with teachers like the year 8 coordinator Tania Benevento as they are close friends. If one teacher is picking on a student, the other will too. Your daughter’s uniform is in the wash so you have to make her wear sport? Good luck, the coordinators will make her pick up a full bucket of rubbish. These teachers are mean and lack personality and heart. They should be fired.

This school seems to be going broke. Asking their students to give donations to “charity” really is it going to “charity” where is the evidence shouldn’t a certificate be provided on how much they have raised? I honestly feel like something shifty is happening with the money always a new business management leader what’s going on here we are not dumb! My daughter is not giving a single penny to this school I will be reporting them to catholic school education to have a background check on where the money is going to and why I am paying $6500 for this school when all they care about is the image of the school! Also my daughter has told me that all the teachers are leaving I wonder why! Bad leadership organisation and unable to pay the teachers what they deserve. I feel bad for the teachers who are working really hard and being treated like crap by the leaders of this school. I am so disappointed as when my daughter first started we had an open day and everyone seemed so nice but in reality all two face and hungry for money.

Racist and homophobic staff. McNamara was horrible individual with no morals and should not be responsible for the well-being of young children.

This school doesn't know how to control students. They say its a private school, but when I came I thought I walked into a farm. All girls school, yet they have creepy male teachers. Teachers always pick on me for no reason but racism. This school really needs to fix the teachers and they're education.

Yes! My parents are so right! I am a year 7 student and I am really enjoying my new school so much though I’m missing it at the moment with this coronavirus problem. I am
Looking forward to getting back to school but the remote learning has been so good. My teachers are trying so hard to make it as easy and as normal as possible! I hope this all ends soon and that everyone is well and safe.

My daughter is in Year 7 and it’s great to see how well she’s connected with the over 80 students in her year level from different primary schools! The school has not only made my daughter feel welcome and included but has made all of us truly feel like we belong to a beautiful community. I have also made some lovely connections with other parents and have had an opportunity to be actively involved in the school community. The icing on the cake is that not just my husband and I are happy but our daughter is happy!

WOW! I am so tired of reading bad reviews by people who have children that ARE the problem, or by students themselves that don’t do the right thing. If you don’t like the school take your child out. I know some parents that have written bad reviews about the school and yet continue to enrol their other girls in. Where is the sense in that? Oh yes it’s about lack of ownership, blaming the school for their child’s behaviour and finding a way to get back at the school via bad reviews because clearly they have no leg to stand on. OWN IT! You “said it”, you “did it”, YOU LIVE WITH IT! I went to Mercy, my nieces are at Mercy and it’s a great school! I have boys but if I had girls Mercy College would be my choice.

I saw some dodgy reviews about my school and don’t think they’re fair. Mrs McInerny is legit the best and our school was good before she came but it’s even greater now.
I’m that girl that hasn’t always made the greatest of choices and haven’t gotten along with some teachers but my dad would never let me get away with it! As he says, I had to face the music. I’m lucky my parents are big on “working with the school” because they helped me find ways to get along with my teachers even the ones I never thought I would. I’m very involved in the sport programs at school and have a few really good friends. I love it here! There is something at our school for everyone.
Not saying my year level but I’m not new or senior!

It’s a shame that people only find the time to write a review when they’re unhappy! Seldom do people stop to thank the person stacking shelves at the supermarket, making sure you find the things you need, rarely do people compliment staff on how great the meal was in a restaurant.
This is not the experience of the majority just a handful that have lots of time to write rubbish.
Mercy College, Coburg is a great school! I attended there and I have a Bachelor Degree from La Trobe and a Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree from ACU! Thank you Mercy!

sometimes i feel like this school cares more about your uniform then the actual learning like for example they took a VCD student out of her sack because she had a nose piercing. like this is ridiculous. my teacher once spent a WHOLE PERIOD talking about socks, and as you can guess that's 50 minutes wasted. i am disappointed with this school. they are always targeting students acting likes that is okay. IT IS NOT! if you care about your daughters education do not send her here.

This school is a joke. My daughter is constantly targeted and taken out of the classroom and locked in a room. Is not allowed to leave the room, is told by the principal that she is a danger to the school and if she leaves the room the school will have to move to Coburg Lake as they do in a lockdown. How pathetic!! They wont let your daughter back in class until you go in for a face to face meeting just to victimise your daughter in front of a panel of staff and yourself. It’s just pathetic. The school promotes bullying and the teachers including the principal are the bullies. Do not send your child to this school!!

This school is really bad. I started in year 7. School seemed fun at the start and teachers were trying to teach properly. Now I'm in year 8 and this school is ridiculous. at the start of the year, I was accused of many things and picked on by teachers. I would be sent to in-house suspension and would sit in a room next to the vice principal's office all day. and some people reading this may think that is a problem child. but I'm not. the teachers are really bad. they keep the old fussy ones at the school who still think they can teach us millennials like we were in the 1900's. they scream and make a fuss about everything and you get sent to leadership for no reason. and when leadership isn't available, they go put you in a room with no food or water and the only thing you can do is go to the toilet. another problem is uniform. it's over expensive and very bad quality. in winter we have to wear a shirt as well as a tie and a tunic, and the tie chokes many people. in summer we have a flimsy summer dress which we can wear a jumper but have to wear a blazer. on hot days like say 28 degree days they still make us wear our blazers. it has to be 30 on the dot for us not to wear our blazers. we have to wear white knee-high socks. and if we don't we get something called an infringement notice. if you get 3 infringement notices you have to stay back after school on Friday still 4.00pm. the school cares more about the uniform than the education. I fail literally every test because the teachers are so bad. and it usually takes about 2 weeks to get our marks back. The school is also getting a renovation. some publications have our school 1 mill so help out. I think the overall price was 4 mill. They renovated the 3rd floor and its alright but the lockers are small and ugly. they are still working on the 2nd and 1st floor and a new cafeteria aka the swimming pool. it's pretty ugly. they also building these seats outside it, that is on a slump. do they want people going down slides at lunch and recess? and also recess goes for like 25 minutes and lunch only goes for 50 minutes. that's 15 minutes less than others high schools. well, that's it for now but don't come to this school.

This school clearly do not have their moral set out. It is ridiculous! Girls get bullied everyday, but other people’s problems such as lack of interest in class, overrules issues and problems surrounding bullying. There is not only arguments within year levels, but arguments within every year level that never gets solved even after promises that it will be delt with. The coordinations are no help as they say one thing, and do another. Overall, this school is ridiculous. They care more about the way students should be wearing their uniform with ‘pride’, rather than the education that they brag on about and the words coming out of their staff’s months.

I absolutely hate this school!!!!!!! This school has disgusting girls, who think it is ok to swear at the teachers and to bully other inocent students! Most of the students here are dumb rude girls who should stop twerking on other girls!this behaviour is disgusting and I would like it to stop..... If I were you don't send your daughter to this school don't even consider it!!!!

Staff seem a little more concerned with students presenting a certain image of the school and themselves than education. Students who have been bullied multiple times by the same people don't have the issues they're having death with effectively.

Horrid. So many bullies at this school, they have disgusting personalities and no care for others. I am still recovering. They would tease me every day and make fun of me. I couldnt even sit outside by myself because it was too much as people bullied me. Teachers are just as bad, they treated me like sh!t, I even had two discuss private medical information in front of other students, which I told them I didn't want... And it basically goes without saying? They treated me like I was so stupid. They would talk about me behind my back and make me feel like a freak. Unbelievable.

Great school - teachers were very supportive toward my learning and personal life issues ... Always checked up on me and made sure I was coping . The school is on top of students learning - checking diaries for homework, setting homework and check students do it by ticking them off . In year 12 I found as well as the teachers being just teachers and disciplining they were also friends to lean on when times were stressful .

No discipline. No teacher support. Lack of empathy from teachers who have no passion for teaching.

This school doesn't know how to control students and don't care about our education like they are meant to and they have no discipline. It's a really bad school. Don't ever send your children here
