Extremly bad. I feel very unsafe and most of the staff are lazy and don't care about us.

My experience of HCC has been a bad one so far, they offer little to no sport and have this phrase where they want to use peoples "god given potential". They don't even want to send the kids from aerobics to Queensland when the parents pay for it. This is not using kids sporting potentials. The school is not encouraging and is dead. kids don't want to come to school because of the environment.

I have sent 3 children into this school and they all have a wonderful experience. My first child is now in Uni and my second will finish VCE next year.
The teachers teaches with all passion and care so much about our children. We couldn't have asked for more. My oldest has been to various schools before we brought all of them to Heathdale and we were so grateful we did. We love the children they have become. Great citizen for the community.
Many thanks to the teachers and all the staff that made the difference in our children's lives.

Just look at how lax this school is with their uniforms; students coming out of the local public school look more polished than many at Heathdale. This may sound superficial, but it is a big indication on how their standards have dropped. Sadly this is translating to other areas where mediocracy is now their new standard across their teaching regime and students that are either below or above average are left to fend for themselves.

Terrible organisation, ran as a business first with very little concern for students welfare and wellbeing.

I graduated from this school a few years ago and I would like to share my story of how negative my experience at Heathdale was. As a student who attended this school for a number of years, it was by far the least encouraging schooling environment I have ever been placed in. Like many of my peers, I found it difficult to feel as though I was safe coming to school every day. I was scared of being bullied, shut down, or being told I was wrong by both other students and staff alike. This is largely because the support offered by Heathdale appears to be conditional, meaning they don't appear to take interest in helping everyone without discrimination. Heathdale's message is to encourage students to feel as though they can express themselves through their God given potentials, however, I would strongly disagree. There is a high prioritisation of sports/maths over English/humanities subjects, making students who are not gifted in maths/sports feel undervalued. Thus, the institution's teaching methods relating to certain topics is extremely questionable. There are many examples, however, to name one specifically, we were told that evolution was "not true" and it was a false "political agenda" that the government was forcing upon us. Whilst I understand that the concept of evolution does not align with the school's Christian beliefs, the way in which it was taught was completely unethical and wrong.
Overall, I would strongly advise taking this review, and many other negative reviews of Heathdale into consideration before sending your child there. It is an environment that I don't believe would be healthy for a child to be in, and looking back on the negative experience I had as a student, I would not wish this upon anyone else.

I posted a review here in August that they have now clearly deleted. They don't want people to know what goes on in this school. This is not a safe environment for your children. This school is a borderline religious cult.

this school does not provide a safe and caring environment for students. the bullying rate is high, and teachers do not seem to care. it is also very homophobic and transphobic. there are no gender-inclusive restrooms and as a trans-nonbinary student, i have been forced to dehydrate myself to avoid the bathrooms. the teachers will not allow me to use my preferred name and i get no respect, despite them claiming to support every child's individual needs. 0/100. DO NOT GO THERE

total rip off honestly. they care about money only. there are some good teachers.
they receive like 10k from each student yet there is crappy internet and lazy teachers who don't give...
honestly, this school is probs to big for them (the directors/principals) to handle. there's no interaction with them and students what so ever.
Changed schools due to getting a great education with Christian values and thinking I would be in a better environment. However, my family and I are starting to have doubts.
My other school may have been a government school, however, there was a friendly interaction between the principal and us. Came to HCC and when there was assembly, I was like who is he?
I feel like the principal stays in his room all day, away from students.
Funny how there is only ONE box of cheap headphones shared around this whole school. where is the money going to?
In my old school, we had so many clubs, such as cadets, photography, musical, etc., to engage students to come and join and use their talents. however here there's nothing like that, no sense of community.
we just work work work.

i had my children at this school for primary school and i pulled them out because this school didnt care about looking after kids that need extra care when learning. they also have high bullying rate. so bad that lots of students leave the school. the principals are arrogant and dont care. all they care about is money.

I never feel safe as I walk onto their campus the teachers do nothing about it but after all they only care is you get over 60% education amazing but some of the teachers are creppy and make you feel unsafe

DO NOT send your children to this school. My children hated it here. All the school ever did was make my children feel terrible about themselves for not being a Christian. If you want an education don’t go here because all they will do is give you a bible.

The person wrote the review about Indian GODS, needs to go to a school....... what are u gonna teach your kids when u r sick in the head urself.

I understand alot of Indian family's that worship pagan gods are going to this school.
The Bible is clear As Christians, we believe ONLY in the one true God of the Bible. Thankfully, we don't need numerous, man-made "gods" (who have no power at all) to guide our lives and live our lives for, just one God, who we will spend all eternity with one day when we place our trust in Jesus Christ.
HEATHDALE NEED TO AFFIRM THIS

My child has been attending Heathdale since kindergarten and we all love the school. The education is outstanding and supportive and the children are encouraged to be good people and exemplary members of the community.

Great school, very supportive of students. My 2 kids were lifers at Heathdale and were able to complete VCE because of the support they received

Heathdale Christian College is a biblical christian college that molds and grooms students to achieve outstanding results in every aspect of education. I would consider Heathdale to be the best in the west. My son is intellectually stimulated in every aspect of learning.Every student is richly blessed.

Heathdale Christian College provides an excellent, warm, friendly, safe and cooperative education environment where students are encouraged to explore their potential and are given the freedom to be an individual. The teachers are always there for the students and place a high priority on communication, teamwork and and parent partnership. My daughter has flourished in this environment.
