Overall Viewbank College is an excellent school with supportive teachers. Great facility for us - library, counselling and committed academic teachers. I came from Glen Waverley Secondary College, the standard is the same as my previous school, with a more balance school life. My friends here are more willing to help each other, academically and in learning music.

Not a good school. Finished year 12 here last year. I felt down and felt as if I received little support from teachers. The school wants to appear as though it 'cares for excellence' but all they really want is to achieve a higher number of year 7 enrolements (was even told this by one of my very own teachers that this is what the principal cared about the most). My parents have both been utterly disappointed with this school, with them still having one of my younger siblings attend the school. He always get detentions for 'not wearing a blazer'. Overall, I received little help after attending many counselling sessions about continuing on to study a university degree, but always left feeling deflated as they provided me with little help or guidance. I also had to drop maths after year 10 because teachers lacked the appropriate skills to teach me properly (everyone would brace themselves for the timetable to come out in hope of getting one of the two good maths teachers who work there, the others are all hopeless) Don't send your child here,. It's a shit excuse for a school.

awful school- all about the 'image' of there school, as long as it looks good from the outside none of the inside matters. awful resources and very poor funding but you would never guess due to the ties and blazers.
