I’ve noticed my other employees clearly ignoring students wishes to be able to speak freely. This is vile behaviour to witness and I am truly disgusted by this. I’ll be soon leaving this unhealthy environment. I absolutely do not recommend to send ANY child here. |

I am a parent of 2 daughters that have both attended mater Christi and if u had to describe Mater Christi in one word it would be DISGUSTING. Students are so unmanageable and disrespectful, they talk back to all the teachers which not only affects their learning but their peers learning as well. Bullying is out of hand, nothing ever gets solved/fixed. My daughters have both left the school now thankfully. DO NOT GO HERE |

My daughter has been attending this school for only 1 year and it’s already bad! The students and staff have no sympathy for others. Bullying occurs almost everyday and staff does nothing about it! There are no consequences for the students bullying. Not only is the bullying happening in real life it’s happening online too. Which is very uncomfortable for the person getting harassed. Not only should this school learn how to give out proper consequences, they should get better staff! |

By far the worst school a girl can attend. I have been going to MCC for years, the bullying, the lack of communication and how this school handles problems is not good. Mental Health does not matter, they only care about if you’re wearing the correct uniform, too much makeup, nails, hair etc. Bullying at this school is HORRIBLE! nothing ever gets solved, i know so many people that have moved due to bullying, work overload, staff not caring about what’s going on in your personal life only about when your work is being submitted. Do not send your daughter here unless you want them to go downhill in life. |

All the teachers care about is your uniforms they yell at you for the most ridiculous things I go to the school now and I’m going to move schools because of how bad it is the teachers informed us about a new rule and we are not able to open our drink bottle lids in class this is absolute nonsense like it’s a drink bottle and now the teachers are going to walk into the bathrooms at break times like if I need to do a poo I’m going to be sitting on the toilet hearing “GIRLS” or “I see more than 2 feet under the stall like cmon |

Teachers don't care about the subjects they teach and talk poorly of their students, picking favourites, and couldn't care less about anyone else. Support is very hard to find. I was struggling with a subject, requested help, got called slow, and then was ignored. They care more for the uniform than their students. But hey, who cares about the kids! As long as they look good to get some extra money. |

The school is primarily concerned with uniforms and does not offer support to students who need it. I attended this school for about three years; during my third year, I was dealing with a few personal mental health issues and was finding it difficult to attend and keep up with work. The school showed absolutely no sympathy and offered no assistance or support. Considering my circumstances, I put a reasonable amount of effort into my work and completed the majority of tasks on time. However, teachers graded me harshly, were continually harassing me about my missing assignments and, while being aware of my difficulties, refused to grant an extension. Considering how expensive the school is, you’ll likely get a better education at a public school. Uniform is heavily regulated, and prioritised over students’ education and well-being. I go to my current school everyday with makeup, jewellery, and untied hair, but I still get an A or A+ on most, if not all my assignments. So what effect does hair colour, or branded socks, or jewellery have on education? |

It's not terrible but could be better. The winter uniform is uncomfortable and not warm enough, but other kids would always get in trouble for wearing pe uniform (which is thicker). Also, there are a ton of annoying, loud "cool kids" who spread rumours and talk bad about people without consequences which gets really annoying. I also think year 7s and 8s should get macbooks as well, I like my ipad but having a mac book feels like a better choice for school. There are also weird rules, me and my friends found an app on our ipads and started texting on it, and even though we didn't use it much during class, all my friends got in trouble for it and every single year 7 ipad had that app deleted. also.... they give you infringements for everything (3 = detention)!!! Didn't lock your locker? Infringement. Wearing pe uniform? Infringement. They even locked a bathroom for the rest of the year because a few kids messed around with chalk in them. I'll probably stay for year 8, but not sure about year 9. Comment below mine, I feel u man |

do not come here! This is such a bad school I’m in grade 7 at Mater Christi and I already hate it here. A lot of students here are rude and say means things, give you rude looks even if they don’t know you. The students spread rumours and say mean comments. But worst is the teachers, they don’t care about you and don’t pay attention to you at all. All they care about is the uniform and if your wearing it properly. I have not learnt a single thing here at Mater Christi. Nothing. I’m pretty good in math and whenever we have math class the teacher tells me i don’t have to do the work and I just sit there the entire lesson not learning a single thing. Your better off moving to a public school. People vape in the bathrooms and are constantly on phones. Some teachers are rude and disrespectful to the students. I’m going to move at the end of the year since it is so bad here. And the uniform sucks, for winter the uniform isn’t warm at all, we might as well wear the summer uniform, it’s freezing in winter especially since we are in Belgrave Heights. Please don’t send your child here, you will regret it very much. If I have to go here for another year I will definitely cry. This school is so bad. |

don’t waste around 15k per year, all they care about is UR uniform, more than you education! they will sit there picking on you, i was in line in cafe and i got said to me. “fix your dress” then around 2 seconds later and your shoes with a head shake. they also force religious things onto you, YES they are a religious school but still it is completely force onto you. DO NOT come here, teachers are rude, school doesn’t care |

all the teachers care about is how your uniform is and if you have it too short, or if you have a stain on you.. they force education onto you. |

dont waste your money when you can send your child to a great school. this school is extremely clique with forced religious beliefs. the teachers care more about your uniform then your grades and will spend entire classes complaining about what you're wearing. the learning system is horrible and confusing and nor the parents or students will know what's happening half the time. I know people who have lots of nice things to say about their school and are happy to go there but personally me I can say nothing that I like about the school and that says a lot seeing as I actually want to learn and go to a good school. |

Do not send your daughter here, if you are a student currently MOVE! I have been graduated for several years now and I still often think about how much I regret going to Mater Christi. If you are being bullied the solution is either ignore it or the teachers take the "why can't everyone just be friends?" approach. There is no consequences or punishments for students who: bully, are disruptive or disobey rules. I was one of the highest scoring students in the school for a subject, do you think that was rewarded or noticed? No! The academic award went to dozens of other students who's scores were far lower than mine. The mix of students here is also concerning. I certainly didn't make any lifelong friends although the school will sell you the dream that Mater Christi is a place for girls the "thrive" and become "great members of society". It's all just a cover, they will guilt you into donating money to various charities. The principle delivered a speech about how disappointed she was students and parents were not donating enough to charity, however also called a school-wide assembly to show off her vacation photos from Italy. It is no secret that the staff and admin is fractured, I have bumped in to ex-teachers in public and even they have said there is extreme problems in the management of the school and staff. I could write much more about how terrible this school is, but my parting advice is DO NOT send your daughter here if you are considering it. If you are a student who is not enjoying it? Move while you can! There are much better schools out there. |

Mater Christi is the worst school I have ever been to! They make the school sound so good when you go on tours and they make year 7 so fun. But as soon as you are out of year 7 they really couldn't care about their students one bit. They only give attention to the loud and confident students. Most of the teachers are out for themselves. There is no communication with students or parents at all, we where always told a week before camp what we needed to buy (which just isn't enough time). They had the stupidest uniform rules, like for example we were not allowed to wear a spray jacket at all, once I walked into class when it was raining outside (running a little late so I just went straight to class without going to my locker) and I got in trouble for wearing my spray jacket. My teacher yelled at me in front of the whole class and it was so embarrassing. Also if you have any sort of problems going on with yourself or family for any reason the staff at Mater really could not give a shit. Never send your child to Mater Christi because she will just get bullied like every other student, and its a huge money waster. Just send your child to anywhere else but there. |

I moved my daughter from Rowville secondary east to Mater in year 8. Now in her final year it was the best decision we made. Her marks are excellent and she was made so many great friends. She has never experienced bullying, and is a confident young lady, with ambition and plans for her future. The only negative was a couple of below average teachers r with lazy teaching methods but I think most schools experience this from time to time.all in all a great school, I have no doubt we made the right decision sending my daughter to Mater. |

I wasn't paid very much attention to because I wasn't loud and I did okay in studies. When I did do something wrong it was glossed over and I was pushed to the side. Most teachers don't make any sort of effort if you don't have a lot of friends and are shy. The fact my parents paid money for me to go there makes me sick because I think I would have been better off at a public school. |

Our daughter started Year 7 this year (2016). We are very happy with the school. She has built good friendships. We have seen a huge positive difference in her personality compared to when she went to her primary school and we believe Mater Christi has a big hand in that change. |

My daughter attends Mater Christi and loves it. She has a great group of friends and has never experienced bullying. The school has provided plenty of opportunities for her to get involved in sport/music/debating/leadership, etc. Academically, the standard is high and she gets great support from her teachers and tutors always encouraging her to reach her potential. I looked at Private Schools but decided that it wasn?t worth the extra money when she can get everything a Private school has to offer at Mater. In fact, the subject choices were better at Mater which was the deciding factor for us. |

I have two daughters that go to Mater Christi College. They both love it and have made some great friends. I've found the teachers to be supportive and encourage the girls to do their best. If you're looking for a high school, l would encourage you to visit Mater Christi and form your own opinion. |

Mater Christi has been a very successful school for all three of my daughters. One has just finished last year, with great results across the whole year 12 level. Both younger daughters are also doing well. No matter which school you choose, there will be challenging students. We are very happy with our choice. |

Mater Christi was great for my daughter...She has just finished yr 12. I have another starting yr 8 this year. She experienced bullying (its a girls school - bitchiness is going to come with it!) last year; this was addressed with my satisfaction. Have never been dis-satisfied with communication with the 6 yrs my oldest attended. Very happy with the school so far! |

I enrolled my daughter enrolled my daughter Into a Catholic School thinking she'll get a good education and what a mistake! If your daughter gets bullied at school teacher's don't communicate with parents to work on a solution to the problem. They pout them into Counselling My daughter never required any Counselling before attending this school. They stated that there Counsellors are pretty booked out all the time! No wonder why. I reassure every parents to look into other schools, unless you want her to seek Counselling then this school is perfect for her.... Bullying Galore that should be the name of school

No organisation whatsoever, the teachers don't care and if you have a problem no one ever has the time of day. The laptops you lease by the end you could of already bought 2 new laptops, the textbooks are always changing with no warning whatsoever. The school doesn't try to make any effort of communicating with the parents, most of the time my daughter doesn't even know whats going on because they don't inform anyone on whats actually going on. If your thinking of sending your child here, I strongly recommend you send her somewhere else! Taking my own daughter out this year and she can't wait! |
