Re: April 2021. Looks like you are trying to mask the fact you are either a parent or a teacher writing poorly for the review. Inconsistent style about a subject no child would be bothered refuting. The school has had quite a bit of bad publicity lately. Do some digging. Ask questions of them if you are uncertain. Handling serious issues should be transparent and openly addressed in the community and with prospective members. If you feel they are or will support your child, then it is fine as a school. A certain cultural group loves this school and they are not aligned with the school's religion. If you want a school that respects its foundation and is not constantly eating from a honey pot, find a better one.

i have only been here for a tern and i have to say it is amazing. i have to wake up really early to get here and it is a long walk and train ride. even though it take a lot of effort to get here i feel super proud to go to this school. i don't appreciate that fact that someone is trash talking my school though. the teachers wouldn't cheat and that troll is probably just angry that there child lost to Carey and they feel the need to attack said school.

This school cheats. It was doing a two-year IB programme over three years in contravention to the rules in order to unfairly inflate its IB results. It then falsely conflated these results with its VCE data in order to hide its declining performances in the VCE (the VCE results have decreased every year for the past 8 years). When concerns were raised by members of staff, the principal bullied and belittled the staff. Don't send your kids here if you want them to grow up with a sense of morality or ethics.

I attended Carey from prep- year 12. it is one of the best private schools and is renowned for the friendly atmosphere and not to mention the only co-ed private school in the area. It is an extremely welcoming environment, junior school facilities are impeccable and the middle and senior facilities are currently in the process of being rebuilt. Staff are genuinely interested in ensuring student growth and understanding and there are great initiatives especially in senior school to integrate international students into the school. Would happily recommend this school to anyone.

We bought a house in kew so the kids could walk to Carey and have been very happy with it - there is a supportive culture you don't get at all private schools. My daughter was subsequently offered a scholarship to another school in the area which was actually closer but we stuck with Carey

Our daughter attended from year 7 to year 12. Carey provides a nurturing environment with a diverse range of activities. The International Baccalaureate is offered & students typically achieve excellent results.

My daughter is attending the junior campus at Donvale and absolutely loves being at this school. The teachers are really nice, caring and dedicated. The school has a very caring atmosphere and really aim to develop each kid as a whole person.

A beautiful warm environment, especially the junior school now, last seen during school tour. I live in area and the Carey kids I see in Hawthorn/ on trams etc are quirky and good natured - very polite saying thank you. My husband went during high school/ vce and his general knowledge and understandings over a range of subject areas is impressive. Will be happy to send our kids there and love the yellow uniforms!

Fantastic school- love it and would recommend it to any student looking for a broad, well balanced, enriching, supported and interesting education.

Co-Curricular is fantasic and offers a wide variety of activities from excellent sporting facilities and options to music, school musicals and plays of the highest calibre, debating and leadership.

Great atmosphere, friendly students, wonderful and approachable teachers who are always willing to help and a very stong sense of school spirit.

The school is also widely involved in helping others less fortunate or in need, such as community projects, volunteer work and fundraising.
10/10.
