Terrible experience with this school the girls are next level with their cliches and very segregated culturally.

Do your homework, unless your child is “sporty” it is definitely not the best fit for your child. Check their fb page all about the sports. Enrolments continue to fall and academic programs are being cut, despite the numerous scholarships they are offering to boost their numbers and performance. The community is not at all inclusive. Whilst some of the staff are amazing (although most have moved on) the same can’t be said for the administration of the middle school in my experience.

IT locked my laptop and demanded that I see him on my own and I had to answer inappropriate questions about my parents separation. My parents haven’t been together for 13 years… it was creepy

I would never recommend this school to any parent who cares about their child. They treat separated parents as gossip topics. They get you to purchase a pc thru datacom and claim they have rights to keep it. Went to colllect it, they claimed they were intimidated and refused to hand it over. Despite instructing datacom not to refund money as they would “return it to me”

This school retained the computer of a school student from a single parent household, after falsely claiming it was the only computer the student could order.. the mother cancelled the computer and unenrolled the student from the school, after being diagnosed with cancer after missing a cancer appt after school insisted the mother attend the school to attend an appt becuse the middle school principle was “curious” as to the claims the father was making. This was the fourth appt in 10 weeks the mother had to attend with the busy body who kept stating she used to be a solicitor

Keep in mind if you send your child here you probably want to factor in the $300 dollars a week in therapy they will need on top of the fees!
By Parent - 10 Feb 2023, Rate: poor
If you’re after a finishing school go right ahead and enrol your daughter if you want her to be appreciated for her true self don’t send your child here! Conformity to the brand of “seymour girl” is of more importance to the administration than the well being of girls.

Sorry about my other review, I thought it was a different school.

Omg this school has a decent education system but teachers are mean and disrespectful to the students ms Eaton sucks and does not support our learning but spends the lesson yelling at us and sending pupils out of the room.

I want to write a note to say that both of my girls have and are attending Seymour College from when they were 3 years old. My eldest daughter gained a mark of 99.15 out of 100 for her ATAR and has gone onto be a successful student at Uni and a business woman, now earning a good income via her own business. She is an outstanding young woman with good values. Much of this comes from our family with support from the school. It is a partnership, in my eyes.
My other daughter is in year 9 and has had a wonderful year academically, trying new subjects which she is tracking as an A/B level student. She has many opportunities for sport, debating and we are very happy to see her and her many friends.
Seymour is a great school and with the number of years we have attended we have nothing but praise for the teachers and Principal.

As a parent of 1 my daughter attended there from prep to year 2. She was emotionally and physically bullied. The parents harassed her and what did the school say? ‘Sorry, we didn’t see it we can’t help you.’ Absolutely PATHETIC. We had to get a lawyer. Claire (my daughter) cried every night. I told all my friends about it so well done Seymour you just lost 14 families after that incident. What a bunch of losers who can’t do their flipping job

I would never recommend this school to anyone. There have been major bullying issues that were swept under the carpet - all they wanted to do was to protect their image. Policies were changed along with new policies brought in, parents weren’t notified either were the students & they seem to think they are above the law. Major breaches in the privacy act & no ownership from them with their lack of duty of care. The culture in this school is toxic.

The school is absolutely beautiful. The students are helpful and encouraging. Especially at the swimming carnival, no girl is left out. It is a truly beautiful place to nourish and encourage girls to turn into young women. The teachers are also super encouraging and approachable. Lovely college.

Parents beware...do your homework as said in other reviews if you don’t fit the mold, students well-being will suffer. So in other words if you as a parent and your daughter are not prepared to “drink the coolaide” then think very seriously about attending this “fake” college.....

The best decision we have made for our girls! Great balance of student wellness and happiness with academic rigour and resilience. Any girl can thrive at Seymoiur.

This school is fantastic and the girls are lovely, thee is absolutely nothing wrong with this beautiful college. Many girls talk about the importance of the campus to their learning ability. Many girls come up to me and say Seymour College is the best opportunity I have ever been given. I also think that the girls wear their uniform with pride. The uniform is the nicest uniform there is!

By Student - 28 Apr 2015, Rate: excellent
It is really good! The teachers are great they help you with everything and they are ready to drop everything to help you for studying tests coming up and assignments! I love the uniform and its unique because of the clans system. I absolutely love this school. It is especially good for girls who do sport out of school and music out of school. The music groups are fantastic. I love how it is all girls because everyone knows what your going through and what's going on in our lives! Seymour College is the best opportunity I have ever been given!

Perhaps the parent who wrote the review on 07 Nov 2014 should consider the fact that perhaps the previous leadership team was not up to standard and that the school is rectifying that issue (goodbye to bad rubbish). This is a school with good direction and perhaps the student who reviewed the school on 09 Sep 2014 should realise that the concept of fitting in is as important with schools as it is the rest of the world including employment - if you don't fit in there is nothing to prevent you from moving to a place where you do fit in ... it is not a prison.
This is a great school with a positive attitude and excellent results.

There is something wrong in this school, nearly all of the senior leadership staff have left or been sacked.

Where is the grievance policy for the school??? Agree with the student 9th Sept

Consider the wellbeing of the child before entering this school.
- It has no bullying policy,
- The curriculum after year 8 is very negatively focused with very little support provided
- As Alumnus has said before, fail to fit the mold and it will be a very 'unique' experience
By Alumnus - 16 May 2014, Rate: excellent
I had a fantastic experience at Seymour College. A student from reception until year 12, Seymour provided numerous opportunities for girls to thrive. The school not only academically challenges students, however provides them a platform to excel in all areas of life.

-Nice facilities. Good music and sports programs. Evolution was covered appropriately despite being a christian school.
-This school will teach you how to get a good TER but will not adequately prepare you for university.
-Some staff, at least during my attendance, would share feminist nonsense (wage gap, glass ceiling) as truth.
-If you fail to fit the mold the "happy, relaxed and respectful... environment" becomes scarce.
I'm , rate this school
