Loreto college cooperoo has the worst staff I have ever met. There’s not just 1 or 2 but infact almost every single one of them are rude and disrespectful. MS ELLEN, the art teacher. She is my religion teacher as she can’t get any other classes cause she’s wack. She treats me like I am Regina george when I am talking to her. She thinks I am full on having a go at her but really she’s having a go at me. One time I tried to stand up for myself and my friends who’s grandpa just died and she screamed back in my face as if she was Regina George infact I could see a glimps of Regina in her eyes. She is actually crazy. I was sitting in class one day and my laptop had not been charged over night because around 500 houses had no power that night and this was the first time it had not been charged. So I went to the back and put it on charge, she did not say anything until she came and sat at the back. She came over to me almost sitting on my face and screamed at me asking why my laptop was not charged. I told her my situation and she just went on and on about how this has been the 6th time this year. I didn’t even get to explain myself before she cut me off saying next time I’ll get a signiture. SORRY IM HUNAN AND LIVE IN A SOCIETY WHERE THE POWER GOES OUT AND I HAVE A DIFFUCULT TIME WORKING IN CLASS BECAUSE SHES SPITTING IN MY FACE AND LOOKING AT ME LIKE MS TRUNCHBULL.

First of all most of the teachers are mean and don’t care about education and just want the money. They expect us to pay 13k a year then spend my and my parents hard worked money on things for them and charities when they already have so much. There’s one teacher in particular, MRS FOX the bitchiest teacher ever. She acts like the best person in the world but only teaches 3 classes and doesn’t care what we say but she can go on about hr annoying life. She will scream her heart out at us if we stand up well the bell rings and will pick on my friend group in particular. If her favourite student talks she doesn’t mind but if my group talks she screeches (Wich by the way hurts my ears and my eyes seeing the red face) and embarrassed us in front of the class. She so 2faced and scared of our parents because she doesn’t want to get in trouble for taking our items and time. It’s even more embrassing the fact that’s I’m in her 1 out of 3 religion classes FXOG

this school I can honestly say is the worst I have ever been to. its rules are ridiculous and by not having a blazer on when its like 60 degrees celcius you get a signature. do they want us to boil over and the bullying is so sad and i have had it done to myself. if you want to children to have a bad childhood experience then spend thousands of dollars sending your child here. they will get bullied and it is way more expensive then just the fees but the uniform and ofc you have to have the in trends and like people were saying here your poor if you don't have them. go ahead, send your child to this awful school and watch them get laughed at and get them to cry every afternoon after school. Loreto college has a good reputation but they only put on the reviews they want to share. I know at least 10 people are leaving next year from my grade, and that alone is terrible.

I am in grade 7 and I am moving schools because all of the girls here either bully or get bullied. you're either rich with a poppy lissiman and a frank green (which are extremely expensive) or you go home crying to your mum everyday because you feel ignored. You either thrive or want to die. I moved to this school at the last minute because my parents made me. the change was really hard and knowing no one was even worse. I will be moving back to the school that i was meant to go to, and i don't thin k anyone will notice, all my friends are writing these reviews and people are really wanting to commit suicide because they feel unwanted, unloved and uncared for. The teachers at this school don't care about mental health or disabilities apart from a few including Mrs Reed. A LOT of girls are moving next year and it's not just in grade 7. I know girls in grade 8, 10, and 11 who just can't deal with this school anymore and are trying to get out as fast as possible. PLEASE do not send your child here unless you want them to cry themselves to sleep, be depressed, or be the bully and not get in trouble for it. And if your daughter goes here and hasn't said anything about getting bullied they are probably the issue and the reason why people want to die.

ok so im in grade 7 and my WHOLE friend group is moving schools. me and my friend found a friend group in term 1 and we were really tight but then out of no where they dropped me to be popular my friend dosent even want to coe to school anymore and i cry myself to sleep every night because of this prison. not only are most of my peers rude and entitled and the ones who arent move or get bullied,like honestly who thought it would be a good idea to send there kids here , im BEGGING my mum to move school not just because of the girls but also the rules they trap you in this picture perfect prison ,were not allowed to wear ANY jewelry unless its a pearl earing under 5mm in term 1 i was wearing the tiniest earings that had a blue heart and they got conviscated, and no make up which is okay for some people but what about the insecure people like me! DONT even get started on prices ! wayyyyyy over priced. albert einstein isnt teaching us. there are a few good teachers like mrs reed ,mrs crook and mrs minchell ,im not saying the teachers are bad at there job im just saying they could be a little more caring. if any of this sounds appealing to you sure send your child here, BUT if your smart dont send your child to this hell hole.

I am a student in grade 7 I have only been going here for 3 terms and plan on moving schools. In my time here I have seen unfair treatment between teachers and students, I have experienced and witnessed bullying and felt the damaging affects of teachers not caring about you. Having someone turn your feelings down is not a good feeling. You feel depressed and horrible. And it’s not just grade 7 I know people who have depression because the people at this school are just horrid! There are no real friends that you can make, no one really understands or listens to you, and absolutely no one cares about you. Please don’t send your child here. I don’t want them to go through what I and many other people have gone through it’s horrible.

I haven't even been at this school for 3 terms and i can tell you that this school sucks. It is way too expensive and if the school fees aren't enough they have now priced everything up in the tuckshop. I am someone who always forgets my lunch and when i need food it is just overpriced. The girls here are rude and bratty and only care if you are rich and popular. They judge you on your hair how you look how many piercings you have whether your wearing makeup (which we are not allowed) and if you have a frank green waterbottle which are very overpriced. My friend had some really good friends who were popular but now they dropped her and are talking really bad about her behind her back and are calling her mean names when she hasn't done anything to them. My parents are divorced and i always forget stuff but the teachers don't care about that and they give your a signature for the tiniest mistake. They care that your uniform is perfect as well as your hair. The teachers here are mean and only care about good grades if you don't get good grades they will blame you for not listening or not paying attention but i have a friend who always tries really hard in class and she has ADHD unfortunately she doesn't get good grades and they blame her for not participating and not paying attention. The vaping at this school is horrible i went in there with my friend and this one girl started puffing smoke in our faces and we came out bent over coughing violently. The stress at this school is always at a maximum i myself have tried to commit suicide already and im only in Grade 7. The girls do disgusting things like banging on your bathroom door and standing on the toilet to look into your stall. I always go to cry in the bathrooms at lunch and then the teachers get mad because your not allowed to be there. When i have to go home my mum always gets there late and i stay up in Mulwith because my friends are there and then the teachers come up and yell at us to go downstairs. There is too much work at this school i am quite smart and get very high grades but the work here is throwing me down into a spiralling pit of depression. I have to see a therapist and i always have so much to tell her that i think she is worried about me. I am so lonely and depressed at this school that i don't trust myself with sharp objects anymore as i have tried to hurt myself too many times which never used to happen until i came to this school. All of my friends are leaving next year and i don't blame them because everything about this school is quite bad. The teachers here do not care about your mental health and the teachers i have will get mad if you haven't done your homework even if you have a good reason one time i didn't do my homework because my laptop wasn't working and she got mad at me. This school is quite bad and they just get pretty girls to advertise Loreto and they don't care about anyone else. In the photos the girls must be absolutely perfect because how dare we have a single hair misplaced on our head. Overall this school sucks and the teachers don't care about you so whatever you do DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE unless you want them coming home crying to you about how bad it is and how they want to move schools.

Im sure you can all guess by the reviews that this school is horrid. The girls here are rich, petty critical girls who are OBSESSED with themselves. Sending there nudes, leaking other girls nudes and for what? They're just tryna bring each other down for no reason but popularity. Only some popular girls get the real world and respect other people. The vaping at this school is insane and just as bad at the brother school Villanova. This school doesnt care about the students mental health or home life. My parents are divorced and im always forgetting something at the other parents house, then i cant get it for another week and get a signature each day. This school has to prepare for certain students instead of doing a "one for all" because that doesn't always work. Crying almost each day because ive got no "real" friends, there is no real friends everyone is fake you cant trust anyone your always getting shit talked doesnt matter who you are. You Are ALWAYS Getting talked about. Since year 3 ive been so excited to go to this school, and now im regretting ever wanting to come here. I hate it here and what's worse is I cant leave because my grades are bad and will suffer from the move, and i wonder why theyre so bad.. BECAUSE THE TEACHERS DO NOT CARE.. Im sorry to be that person but the only thing teachers care about is your uniform and end result of grade.. Ive got ADHD and you think its easy to learn with that? Its impossible and what's worse is my dad agrees with the teachers. I wanna leave, anywhere at this point im that desperate.. but then i wanna stay, not because the schools good because of the few nice people i met.. who also ruined my life but its fine. Ive also caught girls cutting in the bathrooms this school stresses you so much. I hate school now.

Theres only a few good teachers at this hell hole. You get in trouble for the smallest things, no ribbon you get a signature not wearing basic studs you need to take them out and get a signature forget something from your locker to bad you cant go get it and you get a signature instead 3 signatures = detention anymore and your suspended or parents are notified. This school should be shut down, they need to understand social media is a big part of todays society and that fights and drama is going to happen, bringing the girls to a room and asking them to apologise to each other isnt going to solve death threats or unbearable comments or rumours. Do not send your child here unless you want them to come out mentally ill or scarred. My 3 terms here have been horrible its unholy how many children are leaving next year for better schools. Children coming from Mt Carmel or St Martins have been told to go to loreto as its such a good school, but I'll tell you now its not, its horrible. The vaping here too is horrid these kids are 12 and puffing vapes in the mary ward centre, many of my friends enter the bathrooms just to come out coughing violently. The girls here do disgusting things like jumping into people's toilet stalls when they're using the bathroom. Dont send your kid here they're just going to beg you to leave." or I go to this school and it is terrible. All of my friends who also go to Loreto are moving to different schools because of the horrible behaviour that comes from students and mostly the teachers. The fact that I'm only in year 7 and it's sucking, 5-6 more years until it ends!! Unless I move which is probably going at this stage.

It's a good school! I like it, the student numbers on this website haven't been updated in a while. At the moment I believe we have 919 students. Contrary to the other reviews I would recommend you send your kids here. I am halfway through grade 9. I definitely recommend playing as many sports as possible when you are new, it helps with making new friends. I also recommend Waterpolo it's so fun!

I just left Loreto at the end of last year most of the teachers and staff are cruel I forgot to take off the necklace that has a picture of my late grandad and my Poppy who is terminally ill and they said “You shouldn’t have worn it to school a lot of girls have the same situation and we’re told the same thing.” Who says that to a grieving 14 yr old? Please do not send your children here it it a very toxic and very bad for a lot of students mental health.

I moved to this school recently and had a bad time adjusting. On top of that, I was forced to communicate in group activities which I hate. I didn't get any make-up time for assessment after missing about a week of school at different times. My teachers were forcing me to sit with people in my grade and after expressing how much difficulty I had with students in my grade at my old school, they claimed that it was different here. Yeah, it's different with its high standard academics and its girls who throw pens and apples at me. But the fake sympathy is the same.

i have only just recently moved here and all the students are terrible. they're loud, disruptive and annoying in class. only two teachers respect preffered names and pronouns and a lot of the students are homophobic and this environment just overall sucks. the teachers will give you a dentention for the most stupid reasons.

I'm not looking forward to senior school. I see what's happening and it's not fair.
If you go to the primary schools of Mt Carmel and St Martin's, you will be glorified daily and they all get voted to do class captains and leadership roles. These girls plan out who will get each role and stack their votes so no one else has a chance. And they openly talk about it-I have heard them in the bathrooms talking about it but the teachers just let it go.
If you are happy to be in an unfair system of treatment then go to this school.

Graduated a few years ago. Hope that things have changed since I left, because the system there only benefits already high achieving students with good mental health. The school does not know how to deal with students with depression and anxiety, offering no decent support or understanding. Some teachers do care genuinely but it is clear that admin just don’t care and don’t know how teenagers operate. The focus is only on good grades. Bullying was not taken seriously. Teachers were so disturbingly nonchalant about it, it made it humiliating to report an ongoing case of it, so I stopped bothering to speak up. As did others. I was fortunate that my bully moves schools after two years. High school is tough enough. Even more so with mental health issues and a bully that is making everything harder and a culture that is ruthlessly uncaring. Not worth the thousands of dollars it asks of you. Public schools in the area have better support systems and are far better run.

Bullied by teachers, told to ‘get over’ my autism by the principal. I was bullied and they never believed my msny illnesses. I left the school and my mental health is much better. God don’t send your kid here. It’s horrible. They give out detentions if you don’t donate enough money, even during covid when many people lost jobs.

THis school is the literal worst i got bullied so badly to the point i was self harming the teachers did nothing and the previous head of pastoral actually told me "you should all be nice to each other" when i did nothing. All/ most of the girls hate it. this school is very homophobic and the most toxic environment ever, when i left girls told me they were glad i was getting away from it. my grades went for mostly As to b-s cs and ds. This school is terrible, only cares about the reputation. From experience they only care about students who get good grades, otherwise you’re basically ignored. The teachers (with exceptions of course) literally don’t teach or don’t seem like they’re qualified to. The school is not multicultural whatsoever with majority of the student body being different fonts of white. They care more about students not having their locker locked than the students well-being. Don’t send your child here please!!

i got bullied and the teachers did nothing. i got openly screamed at my other students and the teachers did nothing. i left the school but I'm still scarred. i blame the teachers. i showed them the messages. i talked to the school counsellors and they just said to ignore them. the teachers watched me go from a happy student to a sad student with cuts all over my arms. they never asked OR said anything. i showed them the scars and messages and witnesses from everything I was put through and they did nothing. DONT SEND YOUR CHILD THERE.

Loreto College has been a very good school. We found the school environment very helpful and approachable. There is a lot of attention given to detail in interviews. There are many opportunities to get help with great teachers giving up their time to provide some extra assistance once a week with some of the subjects. I had to regrettably change school due to the high school fees.

I finished graduated from Loreto College a few years ago. Loreto was possibly the worst experience of my life, the school is nauseatingly feminist, all students have despicable behavior. The minute girls graduate from this school they go straight to schoolies to get drunk and die. Please do not make the massive mistake as my parents did to send your daughter there otherwise you can forget about your daughter ever accomplishing something in her life. This school is utterly contemptible and I would do anything to erase my memories of it from my mind.

I really dislike this school its not multi control at all its just a white bread school. The girls here are very sugar coated an think there to cool which is just not cool at all. There is so much nastiest at this school, my daughter is attending this school but I am going to pull her out this year to ether go to Brisbane Girls grammar, Summerville, All Hallows and Our lady's college. And also after losing my job earlier this year the price rates had gone up 30% so because of the money and me with no job my husband as to work for three jobs to afford this ridiculous school. The last thing I would like to add I that there is so much bullying too.

A brilliant school that may have lost its sense of history. It was a boarding school at one stage and had some beautiful buildings that were knocked down. Such a shame it became a "college" what is wrong with the word convent.

My daughters have attended Loreto College for the duration of their secondary schooling. Both high achieving academic students, they thrived in this school's teaching environment. They both met lovely groups of friends who are nothing but kind and considerate and absolutely adore their school. But the thing I as a parent love the most about this school is the nurturing environment they provide for the girls- the sense of spirit, community and support is fantastic. They really look after their students. Sending my girls to Loreto was the best decision I could have made for my children.

I took my daughter out of the school this year after I met my daughther class mates in a social environment. I noticed that there was no respect to the school at all. Also the school is not very approachable. I was dubious about the school as I met ex students that also left and did not have positive things to say about the school.

I had a difficult time last year when my business closed, i was unable to pay the school, after discussing my hardship with them, eventually they got a debt recovery agent to get the school fees. This year, the school fees have gone up 20%.
