i would not go to this school

I do not recommend this school, the rules are too strict and they don't do anything about students mental health

Teachers are inconsiderate to a child's mental health and most are homophobic. If I child doesn't understand a task rather than helping, most teachers punish the student by either yelling at them or by giving them a "room 2" detention.
The school is also rather dirty, it never seems to be clean, it's always super dusty and the AC is just never turned on in the summer.
Rather than giving children the opportunity to achieve their goals they wish to persue, the school focuses on weather or not children are wearing the correct socks or shoes.

I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL. considerable in consistency. They removed entry toilet door's .you can see straight into boys urinal.

This school is average. Some teachers are very rude and are only here for the money, they don't care about how your feeling but some teachers such as Mrs. Strawbridge and Mrs. Daley are very nice and supportive. The school is very rusty and dirty most of the times and bathrooms are disgusting. School uniform is expensive and some rules are too strict. 6.5/10

School fees are more expensive than last year and uniforms are just overpriced and then they tell us off for not wearing the right uniform. Not all families can afford to pay 300 dollars just for uniforms. they don't take us on excursions compared to other schools and there are no activities other than sports day and a few other things. The student counselors don't really help much and just tell you to "breath and relax" when you tell them something and ask them to not tell your parents, they still do. I give it a 2/10

I'm a year 9 and in my opinion, Modbury Highs school isn't a very good school. they care too much about how you're dressed and tell you off for everything. I got a detention for painting my nails. The school is very old and always dirty and dusty and the bathrooms are very old and disgusting and they don't even clean them. Most teachers are very rude and don't care about our mental health. 3/10

this school is ok, but some teachers are RUDE like they worry about socks and shoes and not your health and how you are at home.
some teachers like Marisa are really good and help a lot.
I give it a 5/10

Class of 1993 great school! My teachers we fantastic made friends I'll never forget , some of the best years of my life . Little disappointed that the school logo has changed I prefer the old one sorry . Would love to go back for a stroll down memory lane someday. 9.5/10

I don't recommend coming to this school due to the school being so dirty and never really dusted you can see on the school stairs all the dust, and also the school don't have the best air cons and when they do put them on it smells like dead rats. They mad at you for wearing the wrong kind of shoes or socks when your clearly still attending the school and also paying them, if they continue to show this kind of behaviour then they will loose there students to other schools who have more reasoning with them and they also lack sports when we clearly have girls who play netball there whole lives or boys who love playing footy but the school is too strict for them to allow it. Overall 0.5/ 10

My son is in year 9 this year and has been doing extremely well since he started at modbury in year 8. They have high quality education, and my daughter who is in year 11 has made great friendships there. Overall 9/10
