Avoid this school at all costs

Here is some extra material from the review posted on February 5th 2024. There is still some vandalism made by some former students and there is dried up gum on the ground but come on it’s high school. The staffing issue has been solved as I haven’t had a teacher away yet, but they are still struggling a little bit getting teachers as a result of their reputation so they can’t do small groups for every class (I'm in the small group program). The TikTok issues are fixed because we can’t bring our phones into school no more and there aren’t that many kids using their phones when not allowed to. Still overall has changed a lot and is no longer a hotspot for bullies.

I went into this school this year in 7th Grade, and trust me it is nothing like the reviews say. Apparently, the school got a new principal last year, and some changes have already been made. Most of the bad kids have been expelled and went to Melba Copland, effectively plummeting the schools bullying rates. Haven’t seen the bathrooms but when I'm outside them I do not smell any drugs so that means the smoking issue has been dealt with. Everyone now turns up to class, and there are no longer any random deranged kids that let themselves into the school. The fire alarms have not been set off at all, but we haven’t had any tests yet so I'll maybe make a follow up later this year. There are a few annoying kids still, but the teachers actually do something about it, like threatening to call their parents and actually telling them to stop. These annoying kids really just need to learn that Kingsford Smith is no longer a place where you can skip class, do drugs, and live like you're in GTA. Definitely send your kids there.

I went to the preschool there, but I moved to the school in my suburb (holt is my neighbouring suburb). I have heard all the reviews but someone I know had a bad experience there. My moms friend's son went there, and he got a injury in the balls so bad he ended up in hospital and the police got involved. So the preschool is fine, but the rest of the school is bad, I hope my preschool friends are okay.

this school is a horrible the kids do drugs, smoke, drink and vape in the bathrooms they skip every class and doesn't do any work, the teachers are shit and have no time to help anyone else, people walk into the school at anytime jumping the fences to come bash kids bringing knifes into the school and pulling fire alarms. this school is not safe for anyone.

the students are disgraceful and bullies. vaping, and smoking in school vathrooms, making it uncomfortable to go to the toilet. we get random kids enter the school, attempting to bash a kid, and students fight and punch on.
we owe the fire department thousands of dollars for random fire alarms being set off my children.

I hate this school but the teachers are shit and horrible but the children make it fun it is fun going to the bathrooms and doing fun stuff in there we would always vape and do drugs we would go behind the ovals and smoke weed most days it is very easy to skip and over rule the teachers it is fun for the most of it send your kids there the teachers will most likely not care about what you do

I hate this school. I hate the fact I have no option but to go there. The kids are all mean, and so are the staff. The bathrooms are disgusting. Teachers won't do anything about bullies. There are fights between students sometimes, and teachers are very biased. Kids vape and do TikTok in the bathrooms A LOT.

This school is so bad.
I first moved here in preschool and have been here ever since. The only reason I haven't moved is because there are no other options.
I have been bullied for several years and the teachers do nothing. They think that I quick suspension will fix their behaviour, NEWS FLASH: It doesn't!!
I have been punched, slapped, verbally assaulted and called every name under the sun and no action has been taken.
The bathrooms are feral and covered with inappropriate graffiti. There students vaping in the bathrooms and frankly make me feel uncomfortable to use them. Kids get into relationships and show PDA all around school which makes me feel very uncomfortable.
I wish I could leave this school but it is closest to my home.
Please I beg of you DO NOT SEND YOUR CHLD TO THIS SCHOOL!!

Where to start...this school is awful. Staff are a protected species (care more about their EBA rights than their work, my son was assaulted by a staff member but got sent home for pushing him back, kindergarten dropoff makes parents late for work on Mondays and after long weekends because nobody is there on time for dropoff etc).
Discipline is terrible. Kids walking around the grounds unattended during school time, regular assaults and bullying swept under the carpet. One teacher told a kid who complained about his toy getting stolen that it wasn't her problem because it was private property.
If you have options send you child elsewhere.

This place is horrible, and I wouldn't suggest sending your child here. There's far too many bullies and junkies. Bullying is a huge factor here, and the school says they don't tolerate it, but don't do anything to stop it. All they do is give the bully a single Fourty minute detention.
I get a million assignments for each class, and find it really hard to keep up. The teachers threaten to call your parents over every little thing, and proceed to lie to them, making the burden fall on the child.
I saw a couple of primary school teachers smoking out the front once, and the amount of students that smoke and recive no discipline is pretty stupid.
The students here are disrespectful, perverted, disgusting and rude. Not a nice bunch to be around.
There's also always broken windows and graffiti everywhere. The bathrooms are disgusting and rarely get cleaned.
I regret walking into this school everyday. I've been bullied, called every name imaginable, lied about, harassed, provoked, annoyed,treated like I'm a baby when I ask for help, and I seriously considering moving schools AGAIN.
Please don't send your child here, I beg you.

Just moved my child at the start of the year. I knew i was not 100% sure about the school. I only got shown around the school in last week of term was not enough time for me to make judement if school was good or not. If i had not kept trying to call and organise to be shown arrange school i feel they would have forgotten about our family.
My child can not tell me what she learns each day. Although she tells me she is getting bullied almost every day. Pushed to the pavement. Punched in the face. Kicked on the monkey bars not by accident. Not enough punishment for these misbehaving kids. My child has also had there lunch and parts of lunch stolen on numerous occasions.
Bad management. Class seems more like. Time to change school
I care about my child more than to keep it this 'super' school. Clearly called super for propotion not because its a great school

Hi. I wouldn't call KSS bad or ridiculous. I'd just say yeah, there are bullies but, what these bullies don't understand is that it hurts people. So what if they don't act like you or think the same as you? Let them be themselves but people are too scared to even be themselves. I'm in high school and I have heard these bunch of girls calling another girl 'pointy boobs'. I'm so glad that she ignored them but I could tell that what they were saying was affecting her. We can't always be strong. This girl is holding out for as long as she can but I think she's scared to tell them girls that they're hurting her.
This girl thinks she's in love but he doesn't love her back. Of course he wouldn't. He's too busy with a new girl. He's not going to notice a girl like her. I'm pretty sure she's hurting about that as well. She's been going to class upset. She's been saying under her breath that she wishes everything was different. She wishes that she could change her past.
She got told that life isn't always fair but when is life ever fair for her? When can she take a break from all these terrible rumors and lies?
Her friends have been hanging out with a whole bunch of other girls and this girl isn't in the same class as any of her friends. The only time she can see her friends is at break.
She's loosing everything. Her friends, her family, her life. She cannot stand all this pain growing inside her. She's trying so much to change her life. Please, let her do this.
With the exact same girl, all the year 9's are saying 'Hey, look! It's that girl that ____ made out with and he squeezed her butt!' I haven't seen this girl's butt been squeezed but she's in year 7. Leave her alone.
She's not like you? So what? She's trying her best to stay strong but I've noticed that there are scars on her arms. She's been cutting. She couldn't take the pain of people teasing her everyday. She doesn't want to go to school anymore because she's known as the school slut. She's dated a few guys so what? Its not like you've never dated a guy in your life! It's not like she slept with anyone!

Students are not well behaved at my school I ask my mum if I can change schools but we can't go anywhere else. I get bullied all the time and I hate it. I get to many assignments and I find it to stressful, I can only do homework these days. I'm not allowed to hang with my friends. The other day a teacher said that they were going to call my parents for smiling at my friend. They called my parents and I got in trouble for smiling to my friend. When they came to my primary school they rolled the Year 6 kids that it was a really good school and that they don't tolerate bulling , I tolled a teacher and they said that it was my problem!!!!! Like what the hell is wrong with the teachers

This school to me is horrible I hate the way teachers treat students in many people options this school is highly not except able to the way of students being bullied I am completely over this school my child was a A straight student and now she's finding it very hard to even get a B teachers to me are completely over looking this major problem and the problem is that the school looks so hard to punish students instead of helping students this problem needs to be fix because so many people are upping this school when really complete downer like my child got a D in mandarin so I go down to the school and the teacher says " how did your child go in the report" I reply " she got a D how on earth am I meant to help her if I can't to this my self " the teacher " oh well lucky she don't have that subject next term haha" like are you for reall this is what you call a school a good school and oh what happened to the 4 rs and the HERO values did they go out the window just like how the bullying thing also went out the window like kss or the princeable fix the damn school up instead of picking on students!!!
