Reviews | By Alumnus - 26 Mar 2024, Rate: bad | Look, I’m going to be real with you. As a former student of this school, I can confirm that the nobody in the entire faculty cares about your child. They do not care about their mental health or their individuality. They only care about looking good from the outside so that more rich suburban white parents can give them money. They care more about your child wearing the uniform absolutely perfectly rather than teaching them what they need to know. If they really do care, then they wouldn’t send several students to the detention every single day for having socks thats a centimetre too short or forgetting to bring a tie. If your child is neurodivergent, then that’s bad news for them, because the teachers will force them to conform to their teaching style rather than adapt and help them understand things easier. They do not care about the rampant bullying problem in this school. My friend was viciously bullied for a year straight, and despite me and many other people reporting it, the school did absolutely nothing. They just gave the bully detention and a slap on the wrist. When my friend’s parents had to intervene, the faculty basically told them that if my friend didn’t like their experience at this school, they should just move. Absolutely disgusting. Oh, but they still need to look like they care about bullying, so they continue to waste their money on hiring people to perform cringey anti-bullying skits. Instead of, y’know, actually doing something to stop the bullying problem in this hellhole of a school. This school does not want to put in the work to actually change for the better, they just want to look like they are so that more people can attend. I can assure you that the second your child steps foot in this school, they are at a higher risk of developing anxiety and depression, just like I did. So I am begging you to take this review into consideration if you are ever thinking of sending your child here. If this review convinces at least one person to avoid this school, then it has done its job. Find another school. It’s not worth it. | | By Parent - 24 Oct 2013, Rate: good | Why does this large school only offer Chinese. Is it to cater for the fee paying Asian students who use this subject as a soft option? My student hates character languages and would prefer to study French or German. At least Ferny Grove High give him an option. | |
