Lockridge High has been fantastic for my child. A school where the teachers know your childs name and abilities, means that my child does not get lost amongst the sea of faces. I receive regular phone calls and email to let me know how things are going and I can ask for a progress report at any time. The teachers and staff are genuinely invested in the students and the school and definitely go above and beyond both in support for the students and the school. They will move mountains to find a study path that suits your childs interests and career aspirations. It doesnt matter what community event or what time, there will always be a staff member present if the students are involved. The FARM is awesome and is both a fantastic resource but also adds to the charm of the school. Even non farm students go to the farm, just to sit and relax during their breaks. The students get so many opportunities to be involved in a range of activities from partnerships with industry, universities, the community and more. In 2013 there were events such as 'International Teach Ag Day' and 'Curtin Mining Challenge' to name a few. There are also the schools traditions of LocFest, LocSurf and LocOlympics which add to the school spirit. The school definitely reflects its tag line of 'Its more than you can imagine - take a closer look'. I would recommend this school to anyone. It can also take out of suburb enrolments particularly for their specialist subjects of Agriculture and Basketball. Lockridge High consistenty achieves high results in the NAPLAN Value Adding scores and in 2012 was placed 1st nationally in 'value adding' which reflects the improvement percentages between one test and the next. 98% of 2013 Year 12 Leavers got their first uni preference which included Engineering and Medicine.
