The principle at this school is trash and she doesn’t believe in mental health. I honestly had a really, really, really, really depressing/ bad experience at this School and suffered from mental health breakdowns and so forth and everything. This school has an extremely bad reputation with all the bratty students/spoilt brats. Mrs. Amvaris the principle at this School doesn’t care about the students with all the mental health problems, breakdowns and things. The amount of work they give you at this school is just ridiculous, like I got given way too much homework/assignments to do almost everyday in year 7. I do not recommend anyone going to this school for the sack of the principal. I feel like she need to get fired for all that she’s done to us. She makes all the students so depressed at this school who suffer with anxiety and depression from the amount of work that needs to get done throughout the year, it’s unbelievable. This is just a terrible school. No wonder all the good teachers just leave instantly and quit their job here. The principle just argues with all the teachers here like how they are not doing their job properly and how the teachers teach the students like rubbish. Like, what rubbish this school is. In 2016 the principle at this School was so much better than the principle now. I really think she is a bad reputation to this school and everything. This school ruined my life when I was in Year 9. I had really life threatening nightmares that it made me so depressed and whatever. Trying your best at this school to do right things isn’t good enough at all. It is a Really bad school. I rate it 0/5. Pretty rubbish school I would say this is. Do not send your children here. The principle is the reason why.

The teachers at this school are so kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and diligent. Too diligent. This is their biggest downfall as the Snr Exec staff walk all over the amazing teachers here. They belittle them, trap them, pick them off one by one and give them zero voice to actually do their job. Teach. The teachers are treated like infants, ridiculed and belittled in person, in emails and even over the loud speaker to the entire school! They are expected to complete so much that nothing meaningful is implemented as they're so inundated with 'ticking boxes'. If they bothered to actually treat their staff as the professionals they are, perhaps staff morale, and subsequently student morale, would not be so woeful. Student numbers are going down, and staff numbers are trying to leave in droves, but even that is dictated to by the Snr Exec staff because if you want to leave, you need their approval (you literally do). Treat your staff like the expert professionals they are and the school will flourish. Continue in this manner and it will continue to steadily decline. Listen to 'your' staff. They matter.

As a staff member desperate for change so that we can serve our beautiful students, I encourage anyone who experiences issues with Asquith Girls HS to contact the director, Mark Anderson. We cannot continue to lose students. We cannot continue to be subjected to ad hoc decision making. We cannot continue to be subjected to harassment by Snr Executive staff.
