Reviews | By Alumnus - 29 Dec 2020, Rate: bad | the attitude from the teachers was insane, i was relentlessly bullied on multiple occasions and this was brought up to the principal of the school - who ignored what was brought up in the meeting and went about her duties (sitting in her office or at home) as usual. this school picks their favourites and of course they are the ones who receive all of the recognition, which is unfair. the deputy principal accused me of actions which i did not commit with insufficient evidence and punished me unfairly, which brings me back to my comment about favouritism within this school. mount carmel are more focused about the appearance of their students, rather than their well-being and education - the counselling which is offered at the college is appalling. a friend of mine was seeking advice about another friend of hers who was suffering from suicidal thoughts and she said “oh well, that’s her choice to take her life. you can’t help her”. my mother had been in multiple meetings with the principal about serious bullying and death threats from students (who were in the leadership team) and this was blatantly ignored. i would NEVER EVER considering sending my child to this school - unless you want them to suffer from serious mental health issues. | | By Alumnus - 07 Aug 2017, Rate: excellent | The review from march 2014 shows ignorance and poop attitude. I assume they are referring to the car park when they say about dropping off children in school grounds. there is no room for parents to park there, It has always been for staff and parents only. Students cross the car park as they enter the school, so the danger in having too many cars around should be obvious! I feel sorry for the staff (who are all lovely and very helpful) for having to this person! | | By Parent - 12 Mar 2014, Rate: poor | Office staff very poor attitude. Treat boys as second rate citizens. Dinosaurs who believe they're a cut above but not open to logical nor reasonable requests. Won't allow parents to drop children off within school grounds citing danger to children, yet teachers/staff and visitors can do it. Very poor public relations | |
