Regret working there absolute horrible place

If you can move from the area, do it! If you’re thinking about buying or renting in the zone, don’t! The school is extremely unsupportive. Teachers are miserable and leaving. Parents are unhappy and pulling their kids out as soon as humanly possible. The principal fails over and over and yet nothing is ever done about her. She makes a mockery of the former principals and the hard work they put into the school.
Do not send your children here if you hope for a decent future for them.

This school has a huge bullying problem that the leadership team don’t take notice off. The principal does not have any dealings with students or parents. The playgrounds are old and unsafe. Majority of the teachers are fantastic but unfortunately they are being spread so thin doing extra work. They don’t offer everything they promise on their website and tours. I would seriously do your homework before sending your children here.

We believe that this is the best school in the whole universe! Very amazing staff who are supportive to you and teach you how to be a good human being. My pricipal is so nice! I believe that she is very responsible and awsome!

Amazing staff, everyone is so very sincere and caring, my elder daughter has cleared few scholarships exams, and next year she is studying in a selective program,
I’m so glad that this school has taught her everything that a good student requires...
Thanks to her principal and her teachers and office staff...

This school is behind the times with how they teach, their communication is non existent. If your child doesn't learn at the same pace as other there is no extra help given. The do not have traditional parent teacher interviews which doesn't help the communication at all. The principal does not take on issues raised, she just brushes them off. A number of families are taking their children to other schools to get a better education.

I really love this school. We have a fabulous art progam, a SAKG ( Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden ) progam, a HUGE OLC ( open learnig centre ) for the year 5 to 6 and awesome students and staff. The only thing i would change is the first ad ladys are annoying, rude , sometimes they dont observe things properly, and not caring at all!¡!But dont let that get to you

yes office staff arent the best but thats where it stops. highly recommend this school my daughter has been in a Catholic and this is way better there learning way at this school is on point. if youv got clever kids this is the school for them. Best teaching way ever

If the website is anything to go by.... It has been down for at least 4 months that I know of, as that's how long I have been trying to access it to gain information about the school.

Office staff are useless and rude

From personal experience after moving to manor lakes from hoppers crossing for my daughter who was starting yr7 and thinking it would be a easier and smoother transition for high schoool to also move my son who at the time was in gr 5 and my youngest due to start the same yr my son would comence yr7 keep them all at same school, worst mistake/choice i have ever made, hestitant after 2yrs of dealing with ongoing attacks towards my son by other boys who the school always would claim they had dealt with, i did start my youngest as she wanted to go to the same school as her brother and sister, she regressed so far she went from being well above the level expected at the begining of prep to not even being able to reconise the abc,manor lakes did not ever call about concerns and her learning untill i requested a meeting wanting answers to why she seemed so distressed and everyday was becoming a huge task to get her to school with her crying and refussing ,manor lakes answer was to label her with adhd at 5yrs old. she was removed and transfered to thomas chirnside for grade 1 and hasnt looked back.shes now in gr3. I would think twice before ever enrolling at mlc

Just go to Manor Lakes it's prep to 12 primary and college
Nice teachers If your child has autism there's a support centre called Dalaroo

The principle doesn't care about the students.The teachers only care about the students that do well as for the others they get ignored. If there is a problem with your child and you wish to see the principle she is never available !!

It used to be good but then there was a new principal and all she seemed to care about was the prep kids. That was 3 years ago and it's still the same but slightly worse.

Thank you for your review, i really appreciate this crucial information as I am a mother of 2 and have been in the same situation where nothing gets done and everything said by the parent is disregarded and thought of as "trash" imo. So sad!
Although i am currently in NSW we have been planning on moving to VIC for a "new chapter" in our lives. Once again, i thnk you so much for your review, I will be avoiding this school 10 fold!!!

Since the new principal has taken over the school has deteriorated, there is a huge bullying issue within the school that does not get addressed even though it has been brought to the attention of the principle. As a parent that has attempted to communicate concerns to the principle, I was made to feel as though I was making the issue up and my child was lying and she was not interested in what my concerns where, my child is scared of the principle because of her stern belittliting way she has engaged with him. Do these people in power not understand the huge impact they can have on a child's life especially during their early years of development.
