Re:previous parent. Interesting lived South side & relocated to the North Side. We’ll research our options Albany Creek or Albany Hills. eHSS does look overcrowded. We Have a special needs child.

Don’t always think that a population of 1000 students is great. Your child/ren do slip through the cracks. Teachers can’t think handle outside the box expects everything to be rosy. Look elsewhere. I am not sure what the hype is about with this school.

Its stressful and sad enough when your child gas a vital thing like gearing damaged and despite letters from soecialusts and various doctorsthat clearly states preferential seating so child can hear, child is put in back row and have to remind them. Initially it felt like I was punished for having a unwell child. But at least teacher is great she made effort to help her catch up for days she missed school. Her method is great and she definitely keeps teachers in the loop and IPADs do help at times when kids are sick. It sort of helps parents see what kid is up to. My lil ones teacher uses it well and they do lots of writing and math in school .. so balance is there in my lil ones class.

I don't mind EHSS but this school is proving to be costly. There's always fees involved ie Voluntary Contributions, purchased APPs for I-Pads, the Spellathon etc. Why can't the school give back to the students eg. A free ice-block during Summer period. Considering in the EHSS newsletters there's constant reminders 'lets get behind this worthy cause', 'its always great to see how EHSS has contributed'. The students deserve a reward ie not individual classroom certificates or the Principal awards (& these are based on Teachers Pets).

I have to agree with the parent on Ipads. My child's handwriting is appalling. I am spending so much effort on assisting my child. Funnily enough my child's teacher commented on when the system went down the teachers response was 'oh, well, we'll have to go back to the olden days'. Everyone get your pens and paper out... ha, ha

I have just attended the Gala Night. The children were exceptional in both instruments and choir. The teachers are praising themselves for the hardwork. Each child should have received certificates they have put in the extra work. If it wasn't for our children EHSS wouldn't be where it is today.

Ipad is forced on parents. Most kids cant spell write count using their own brain now they gave ipad autocorrect for spelling in year 2. School has no insurance to cover loss or stolen assets. Its inequity that kids that have ipads get to excel and take homework home. Kids who use school ipads cant take those home..so undure how they f o homework. School likes to show off they have implemented ipads but arethey are creating a braindrain lead by lazy teachers. All they ask for is money. Ots a school for rich ones. Its wannabe private school.

Like any mainstream school, EHSS represents a problematic and heavy reliance on digital technologies. Without longitudinal evidence as to iPad's effectiveness upon teaching and learning it has integrated technology at an alarming rate. Furthermore the areas of art, music, languages and physical education are observably considered unimportant. For instance sports day is on the last day of term- so it won't get in the way of learning and I have witnessed many art assignments and experiences provided in the last week of school or considered as of last minute importance. This school is not alone in the dehumanising system of mainstream education that devalues the individual and propels children towards a fictious fantasy of an increasingly digitised future. Education should be individualised, multi-dimensional and engaging and allow teachers to be more than just the medium of curriculum delivery. Teaching is an art. I encourage all parents interested in this school to really consider the balance of subjects and overuse of technologies. There are some fantastic teachers there, i would like to acknowledge their impact and efforts.

Tired of politics that play in this school. This school highlights favouritism (Teacher's) and Parents who are involved their children are more recongnised. Sorry, for families who have both Parents who work our child/ren miss out. Furthermore, is this school private, Independent or Government? Constantly, requests money this doesn't help when families have more than two children - give families a break please.

Good commimity and volunteers welcome
Teachers aid are there but wish more where right near kids esp when kids play near carparks.
It takes few seconds to be grabbed or jump fence get hit by car.teachers should be roaming field instead they are not to seen

Good resources, but due to so many kids it seems numeracy literacy not and essential early basic writing not emphasised instead lazy approach taken of ipad writing.
Definitely poor communication.
Literacy numeracy lets aust be in line with world , not sports and music they are focussing on. Too much reliance on ipads internet from early stage...I guess less effort by teachers, hence low rankings...

Communication breakdown, slow or no followup, from teachers, admin, combinining classes, unfair on kids and disriptive...dark classrooms
Instead offocussing on writing, then rely.on ipad
