Glendal Primary school is a outstanding school that provides top standard facilities for students, teachers and parent helpers. It is a school with high academic standard and organizes events that entertain and teach students. They are school that gives students opportunities to not only extend their ability but to help others as well. Amazing! Keep on doing what you do!

Teachers won't let the kids have fun in classroom and treat them like prisoners -bah humbug!
cut some slack on young kids and/or get some youngish teachers who loves teaching and who loves kids.

Puppy school approach lol. true that sit down on the crossing even if there are no cars coming. lol
So many people move across suburbs to send their kids to this school. Everyone goes to a tutor. So grades are good. This school is overrated.

They don't adopt student centred learning approach. It's bad to see my son get abused and punished on his birthday for talking while the teacher was teaching. If your kid is like a zombie and does not talk much this school is great. But if have a very talkative child needing a lot of attention the teachers will punish them all the time. My son used to love going to school when in foundation when Ms Gray was the teacher. Now his teacher is Ms. Sylvester and my son gets punished all the time. My son does not enjoy going to school much. Good school to see children broughp up puppy school style. Good luck.

They have many kids who get tutoring outside for everything. Results due to tutoring. Real gifted children do not get the right opportunities or care due to the wrong system. They offer leadership positions not for the deserved children. Flavourtism is there. Bullying incidents not taking seriously. Sensitive children get psychologically depressed and lose confidence as they grow. Children suffer a lot due to bullying by this system. They think it's ok children to get bullied and call it as 'recelient'.They are covering up major bullying incidents.Only a very few teachers are good. Don't recommend for sensitive gifted or talented students to attend to this school.

Yes, true Ms. Wendy Lau messed up some children. She is not suitable for a teacher. She is too loud and screams at good children. She badly bullied my friend because she was jealous. Worst and crazy teacher.

Suffered from bullying many times. Teachers didn't even care and literally AGREED WITH THE BULLY and also. The good students get no chances and the bullies get infinite. WHAT TYPE OF SYSTEM IS THIS?????????

I heard a teacher called Lau in grade 6 is really a bad teacher. Some parents I known from this class said she favoritism children and exclude the children who deserve the opportunities. As well emotionally bully good children if she doesn't like them.

I am grateful for this school and the kind teachers, although, the school ignores the most serious things... My friend had a stalker from the school, who knew everyone's address, it was mentally disturbing, yet she did nothing about it! They also don't deal with bullies well. I remember the teacher favouriting, a student who acts nice in front of the teachers, but is soo poor outside of the classroom. When we complain and she does nothing about it. The vice-principal accuses people so indirectly without any evidence. There are people in this school that don't even know what a joke is. They take it way too far. Honestly its insulting. I hope the school can better itself.

Mostly good and all, but then in grade 5 there's this bully guy who acts very nice in front of the teachers and was forgiven SO EASILY after saying a really 'unconvincing' sorry. So bad, so bad, he also made one of my best friends join his 'gang', and he sort of spied on me and another guy pretending to hate the bully but is actually just passing him 'info'. And when I tell him about what he had done he's like 'stop lying about what i didn't do' and the teachers take no action to stop this. They wouldn't listen even when a parent complained, and the bully got away again for framing one of his 'friends' for it. And continued, continued keeps doing things bad then when I tell teacher gets away with it. The school needs to do something about bullying, they don't seem to care...

I went to this school way back and the only teacher that I really liked was the science teacher, she seems like the only one invested in the subject she’s teaching. The other teachers were not so great, they don’t seem to care at all. The environment isn’t great, very dirty, especially the corridor for the year 4’s. Constantly gives off a putrid smell and everyone hated it. I feel like the students’ attitudes discourages other people to learn, some interrupt class all the time and the teacher wastes too much time by telling them to be quiet, some roll their eyes and stare at them with a disapproving look for a whole minute which really frustrates me. But I think the reason that made me dislike this school was the people that I was surrounded by, never enjoyed my time with any of them and they were mean and disorderly, broke the school rules once (not some small trouble but something so bad, they had to make a trip to the principal’s office). However, I do believe that this school gives many opportunities for students academically, like robotics. You might find that this is a pretty decent school given that it’s a public one.

Really great school, although very Asian-dominated because of its high, academic syllabus. Great students and teachers, terrible principal - she is not very welcoming and friendly. Principal is quite biased to Caucasians. Overall, the school is really good other than the unfriendly principal. Math extension was quite fun with Mrs Gilligan

Its not that I hate the school its just they don't take bullying well at all. They gave bullies 1000 chances. This school is filled with bullies! :(
The school teacher were all biased but only 1 of them is great.
One of the yr 6 teacher she is strict but kind her smile lights up the room really
BUT i have to say most of the teachers were also really scary. Take the chinese teacher for example she would take a test across the room with no privacy at all and tell your score. If you got a bad one. EVERYONE would laugh.
Its not a good system I was honestly scared to even go to chinese class

Hi i use to be a student and it was horrible. The teacher don’t care about the student s but only the money and i got bullied too much times. The education has dropped and once i had three teachers in a year. So don’t go to this school.

I've been to this school since prep and has been all the way to the end of Grade 6. It's a great school, and for kids who are interested in robotics and science, this is the best school for them. The science teacher is absolutely fabulous, and prepares many out-of-school competitions and programs that kids can do. Teachers can be unfair or biased and sometimes, and that affects the senior student leaders leadership a bit. The teachers and the principals (some) are a bit scary and unapproachable. However, us students do have our share of bad teachers and good teachers, but all the teachers do in some way entertain and teach us at the same time. One thing I love about this school is that it has many asians, so I never feel different like in many other schools.
One thing about this school though, it educates kids excellently IF the child is willing to calm down and if the teacher is able to

I think it is fantastic! But the teaches can sometimes be a bit.. scary? But overall, the education is above average and is so much better than another school which I've been to. A lot of students are smart and well educated, which is good for the whole school. Plus this school has a lot of focus on science, robotics etc. I really love how we actually have a NAO Robot to program. I, am a grade 5 student who has done this before and have programmed it to do the Macarena Dance. It was extremely fun. The music teacher isn't too good though. She can't even control the boys in my class, who are hyperactive and noisy. The facilities are splendid and I love the Science Building. It has stick insects, bugs, a turtle, and some hermits! It is a wonderful school with lots of great, smart, teachers! And mind you, not all teachers are bad. We have this really strict Chinese teacher who can be scary, but also helps keep wrongdoers in check! I love this school. An absolute sublime school if you ask me!

Bullies everywhere in every schools but it is the responsibility of the teacher to understand what's going on classes. My child was bullied by another classmate all the time which made my child really upset through out the year.The x teacher flavoured the child who bully my child and never took appropriate actions. When things get worse they took appropriate actions but it was too late. Further, I am not totally happy with the manners and behaviour. Academic success is not the only thing in ones life. A child must have a emotional and social development in prior to everything. Neglecting the emotions of the kids is the worst part of any school (the responsibility must take by teachers not the school). At the end my child rejected to go to school anymore. It's very fair when I consider all what happened. It can be a good school if you have a child with a rough behaviour. Where there is emotional harm and negligence happens it's automatically become a poor or bad school though the school is academically strong. As well the school management must be honest and never flavoured anyone in any incidents. The school must take strong actions for bullies. The school can't have both bullies and victims. The victims will move then and the bullies will remain.

As a parent of two and a professional working in education, I was disappointed and shocked by the treatment several families received during a recent tour of Glendal Primary. To say that the principal was rude would be an understatement. Without much of a welcome, in the first two sentences, the principal informed the attending families that ?you've chosen the worst time of the year to come for a tour.?
Very interesting, since if she is the principal, why allow families to tour in early December if it is not ideal for your school? The principal?s next topic of conversation: ?you shouldn't even be on this tour if you are not in our catchment zone, because we are pretty full and will not consider students even from neighboring zones.?
Following this we were rushed through several classrooms, without much being said about teaching, philosophy or vision.
So sorry for Glendal, which looks like a school with top facilities, and quiet likely mediocre quality senior leadership.
