I graduated Nundah SS in 2016, from my experience the school was definitely helpful in shaping who I am today, sure there was some bullying and everything including the good,bad,ugly of your average schooling experience but it was dealt with accordingly, for a multitude of reasons I would recommend this school.

My daughter attended Prep at Nundah and we were horrified with the school. The culture amongst staff of sweeping bullying and physical violence under the carpet is appalling. Our daughter survived her year there ("only" punched and kicked infrequently) but other students in her class did not fare so well. Another parent (whose son only lasted six months) told me that official incident reports detailing the violence he was subjected to were somehow "accidentally" not uploaded to the My School website so that when his teacher at the new school opened his profile it was completely empty. There were frequent interruptions to the school day due to the class having to leave the classroom and go into another room because of students whose behaviour was so uncontrollable as to present a danger to the entire class. This obviously affected the learning outcomes of all involved. Pair this with a "tick a box" mentality to learning and you have a complete waste of a year. In week 7 of term 4 we were told that her reading was not up to an acceptable standard (Level 9!) and we were handed a book and told to "make sure she can read this by next week". I'm assuming that this was so her teacher could tick all her students off as being able to "read". If you have any other option apart from Nundah, take it (or sign your kid up for self defence classes before they start there).
