It's just too country. | | By Student - 15 Sep 2018, 评价: 良好 | I've had great memories at majura, the school is really trying it's best to make it great school. Honestly, I have no idea what that other review was talking about about "no diversity". I went there as an Asian child but I never got bullied for it and I was accepted for who I was, guess what, I have best friends who are white, but not just Australian, other Asians and even black people! I'm pretty sure they have a day for diversity called harmony day I think? I love this school and I'm glad I stayed there since day 1. | | By Student - 20 Jul 2018, 评价: 一般 | The campus is good, but everyone there is really weird, like the students, teachers and just everyone there is really weird... I don’t know how else to explain them other than that they’re all like countryside people with very typically Australian farm-like mindsets that don’t have much knowledge about anything outside of Canberra. They’re very clueless about their surroundings, and it’s not very diverse. Most of the students are typically white Australian students who are so narrow-minded that they seem to get scared when they see people that don’t look like them. Going to Majura is like going back in time to 1960’s Australia, or like going to school in outback Australia, but maybe a bit better. I really don’t recommend sending your children to this school if they’re not white. The education is also very low. It’s very important for primary school kids to get a good education from a young age because it helps them a lot in the future, but Majura Primary definitely doesn’t provide much of a sophisticated academic education. I don’t remember actually having learnt anything at Majura other than gardening and painting. On a positive note however, the canteen food is really good. They have a creative menu, and everything on the menu is quite healthy and tasty. However, overall I’m glad that I was only at the school for an extremely short time and that my earliest years of primary school weren’t spent there. | |
