Normally, I would be fine with this type of rejection, however, they never got back to everyone who auditioned to let them know whether they got into the musical or not and only those who are in the musical heard back. I had to find out from my friends that I did not get in which was rather humiliating. I also noticed when reading the cast list (THAT MY FRIEND SENT ME BECAUSE THEY DID NOT SEND IT TO EVERYONE THAT AUDITIONED) that people who had already gotten a lead role also got an ensemble role. I must admit, I am not a fantastic singer, unlike most who got into the musical; but I feel that those who already had a role should not receive a second, as this is unfair for everyone else. Considering the fact that I only auditioned for an ensemble role, it is likely that my tone-deaf voice would not be heard as it is a whole group of people that are singing. Due to this, I feel there was really no reason not to cast me and that those who already had a lead role should not have gotten a second so that people like me could also get to be a part of the musical. I hope to see improvement during the coming years I am at St Monica's for.
P.S I am not being dramatic or sour about not getting a part, this happened to many people. Okay, maybe I am also a bit upset over the fact I dressed up and even put green pom-poms in my hair because I did not have a green weave, and still did not even get a background character. | | | By Parent - 26 Jun 2023, 评价: 很差 | St. Monica's College falls short of its purported prestige, offering little substance beyond its facade. The school may present itself as elite, but it is far from achieving such a status. Its outdated approach to education, reminiscent of the 1940s, leaves me concerned that students are being groomed solely for domestic roles, undermining their self-worth. It is clear that this institution is ill-suited for modern students with aspirations and ambitions.
The principal's lack of appreciation for learning diversity is evident, as she remains hyper-focused on academic achievement at any cost, disregarding alternative career pathways. Additionally, the school suffers from poor communication and displays unfavorable attitudes among its front office staff. Moreover, the teachers demonstrate laziness by inadequately preparing lesson plans and shifting the responsibility onto parents to fill in the gaps.
If you have the means, I would strongly advise sending your daughters elsewhere, preferably to a school in the south. St. Monica's College, unfortunately, lives up to its acronym, SMC, which stands for Smoke & Mirrors College—promising more than it can deliver. | | | >>更多评论... | |
