A good school but very focus on academic. That’s why you see so many Asian students and makes you wonder - are we in Australia or in Asia? There was one school swimming event I went to and next to my daughter’s school was PLC. Full of Asians only. Simply amazing.

there are pros and cons to PLC.
it heavily depends on the student and their personality and how they will react in an environment like PLC.
PLC is a centre for thriving girls, stars not only in the classroom but in the music room and sports fields too.
Many students may be disheartened and feel like a small fish when they come here, thus spending the rest of their time feeling less worthy and giving up on trying new opportunities and activities.
But others, like me, may be inspired by the talent and work ethic of their peers and work harder.
PLC is unique in that it is one of the top performing academic schools, but at the same time it does not fall behind in any other field. The value music and drama has is evident through the investment in the performing arts centre, I also highly recommend any PLC performance you may be able to attend - safe to say you will be humbled. Sport, which is an area that has been overlooked for a few years, or perhaps even seen as a tradeoff for the high academic scores, is also being re-invested in. Sure, there are no girls on sports scholarships or consistent national/state champions. But, there are girls with a variety of talents and strengths and PLC caters to it. There is a plethora of sports offered and students are not missing out on anything compared to a more sports achieving GSV school - We have a rowing program which many other GSV schools do not!
In many ways I wonder what I may have been like if I went to another school - would I be less academic? More cliquey? - but I love the person I am now and am grateful for the opportunities that I have had at PLC which other schools genuinely may never have been able to provide for me.
