I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this school, particularly with some of the teaching staff. Initially, I tried to be understanding and open-minded, but I have found that many of the actions and behaviors promoted here are unethical. One teacher I would like to specifically address is Ms. Hanna. Her conduct, both in and out of the classroom, is concerning. While she may act pleasant during parent-teacher interviews, her behavior with students is unacceptable. She frequently makes inappropriate comments and displays a lack of professionalism, such as rolling her eyes and making rude remarks about students.
Moreover, her teaching methods are ineffective. She often rushes through lessons and focuses on activities that do not contribute to meaningful learning, which has negatively impacted my daughter’s grades. After switching to a different teacher for the same subject, my daughter’s grades significantly improved, which speaks volumes about the quality of instruction in Ms. Hanna’s class.
Additionally, Ms. Hanna’s demeanor in the classroom is discouraging. She rarely appears engaged or supportive and often seems overly critical for no apparent reason. Furthermore, when interacting with staff, her behavior changes dramatically, suggesting a lack of authenticity.
I strongly believe that improvements need to be made in terms of teacher effectiveness and professionalism, and I urge the school to seriously consider the concerns raised here.

if it was possible I’d honestly give this school zero stars, it’s so bad I don’t even know where to start. I’ve been going to this school for all my high school years, from student to parent do not take your daughter here I assure you she is going to be better off somewhere else. Expensive school fees doesn’t make the school any better than it is (it’s the opposite) if you wanna credit card debt send your child here, the new principal seems to be riding around in a new BMW its very evident where the funding goes, considering that there are so many issues within in the school you’d think that they’d use the fees for something worth while but they don’t. Some teachers are honestly so bad they need to retire or take another course for teaching, they come from the year 600BC and don’t know or even remember how to teach especially the English teachers and some science teachers (excluding Mrs Lacey, Mrs tooma, Mr tham, Mr hogan and miss Hanson), some of the religion teachers need changing and it’s crazy to me that the school is all for following the way of Jesus Christ but they can’t even hire good religion teachers who teach you Christianity PROPERLY (I once had a Christian religion teacher say to me that the creation story and the story of Adam and Eve were MYTHS…. Yk what else is a myth? Your marriage babe.) the school literally hires anyone and doesn’t care for the students input or that their education might be at risk due to the inexperienced teachers attending and teaching there. That includes a weirdo pedo teacher ( Mr valenti) who is too touchy with students, they give him a few months off then re hire him as a sub putting students in an uncomfortable state whenever he’s around. Let’s also mention the new assistant principal who’s so stuck up and sad with her own life she has to make everyone miserable too, MRS ARMAOOOO, takes away literally any school events and celebrations that we’ve had for years before she even came here including a multicultural day in which we all HAD the possibilities to show off our cultures and traditions and tells us to wear orange instead, a colour run which has been happening since my sister went there and scolds year 12 students for making the most of their last day at Cerdon (muck up day) whatever happened to liking school and having school spirit. Most teachers make sure your throat is filled to the brim with overwhelming tasks and homework without the concern of any mental health issues caused by this, this school is the reason people think that a grade defines who they are. The students are rude also, they all have stank attitudes and think they’re better than you. Honestly so rude at times, they will bully you and torment you and the school does nothing about it, I hate to say It but there is word around this school of a student inappropriately touching another student. Not to mention how unnecessarily hard and unfair they make the school tasks and expect us to get straight As on all of them, this school is just toxic but they use uniforms to cover it up, they care more about the rules and uniform checks then the students general mental health and the stress they put them through, they teach mental health in class but when it comes to dealing with it, they are so inexperienced, also mentioning the painfully horrible school counsellor who genuinely does not now how to help students, teachers will disrespect students and expect respect back, they are so MEAN. The only nice people in this place are the sweet canteen ladies and other teachers who don’t deserve to be in a school like this (Mrs Lacey, Mrs singleton, Mrs de los Reyes and few others) they go out of there way to have genuine conversations with their students, ask if they’re okay and actually KNOW HOW TO TEACH providing you with feedback that’s actually worth it. Heard from a teacher who sadly isn’t at Cerdon anymore that there was another teacher who was spreading staff room issues to the students in class, how UNPROFESSIONAL….For the good of your daughter send her to another school that won’t suck the life and joy out of her #bringbackMrsbaker most of the staff do not like the new principal and it’s so obvious. Don’t be fooled this school has changed so so much, I wish I could’ve attended here in 2016 because that’s when it was in its prime. #getoutmsbrowningandmissarmao non of the staff like the new principal and it’s so obvious, Thank you, God bless and have a nice day.

Cerdon College there is this teacher in art and she is calling us students cowards for only replying yes to her and saying that we have no guts but shes the one who looks like a wolly mamooth and has wrinkles all over her face and if it wasnt for us being in school ground I WOULD'VE SQUARED UP WITH THIS HOE

do not take ur daughter to Cerdon.its for her and ur own good,This school will not stop ringing up my mum telling her the most unnecessary stuff saying ur child is this and that which is annoying and one of the coordinators said to me that I needed a counseler practically saying I have ‘problems’ and that touched me so much that I self diagnosed myself with ADHD.The teachers verbally abuse students saying we have attitude if we break eye contact when they’re staring into my eyes.One of the teachers said to my friend that they’re dumb and need help .How rude.

This bitch just got here and is already making her own rules.she has canceled so many of our mufti day including harmony day. cerdon college care so much about what we wear that it’s gotten to the point that our new assistant principal mrs armao who’s been here for 7 weeks have canceled most mufti days including harmony day. The principal and staff have not done shit and it looks like der afraid of her like she’s a big mighty beast. she expects us just to wear an orange ribbon and not wanna celebrate and showcase our diverse cultures. mrs armao she’s always unhappy she never smiles apparently she’s depressed :0

My child has told me many bad things that have happened at this school, as a parent I stand by my child and believe her and the things that she has to say. Teachers in this school are unacceptable with their behaviour and are rude and disrespectful, they insult the children for any reason they think for and don’t deserve the kid’s respect. As a parent I think that our money that we are putting into this school is not being worth the amounts we’re giving.

There are maggots in the school ground, racism around the school, hypocrites and teachers never let students be independent. We are always forced to do things we don’t want to for example swimming. Students have medical reasons to not swim and infringements are still given out. What other proof do you teachers want ??

Once a teacher insulted a student and told them they couldn’t were there cultural bracelet, the student said it’s cultural and the teacher screamed at her blackmailing that she will cut of the bracelet and to take of that rubbish, that teacher had ten gold bracelets on each wrist. The teachers here are hypocrites.

Cerdon is a GREAT school providing many opportunities to people who are determined to find them. There are, however a few teachers that are not considerate with the amount the work they give. Even though there are not many of them, I don’t not see the amount of work being given as necessary. The school however in every other field is absolutely the greatest. One concern a lot of people have been having is about the English department being “slow” I don’t think this is the case as they have almost 100 papers full of words to mark. They always give valid feedback, and help you improve. It is the perfect place to send your child if they are determined enough, this may be the best school for them.

Cerdon College is an excellent academic institution that provides young women a safe and nourishing space to grow their talents, excel academically and also make lifelong friends.
I particularly loved being an Advanced English student and my teacher was always encouraging; providing the guidance and feedback I required especially in my HSC year.
Despite the heavy load that most teachers carry, my English teachers still went out of their way to answer my questions and address any concerns that I had in relation to the pieces I was preparing for my HSC.
I believe that the teachers at Cerdon are professional, well-trained in trained in their profession and have always strived to give their best for the benefit of their students.

The english department is more useless than the plays of Shakespeare. As year 12's, you'd think that the teachers would be willing to help especially since it has already been very hard for us due to lockdown. But some teachers still have the audacity TO SHOW ATTITUDE and not give feedback on anything we've sent. This is beyond unacceptable and I just want to warn future year 12's to go get yourselves a tutor because the english department is only useful if you want to fail. If they're not willing to help year 12's a month before HSC, then you can only imagine how useless they are overall.
As an overwhelmed Year 12 student, I speak on behalf of the Advanced English cohort. PLEASE REMIND THEM OF THEIR JOB. I beg.

I go here, and the teachers claim that they care and take into consideration students mental health, but they just care about the homework being handed in. The school counselor should be supportive and make you feel good about yourself, but she makes you feel stiff, and it makes you feel worse. Although, some teachers I've had were excellent, and shouldn't be here.

Pre good school, although some of the staff is very strict and give a lot of work. The uniform is pretty good through the summer uniform is very plain but I love the sports uniform very breathable. The workload is manageable if you are well organised and don't get distracted. BUT the only thing I hate about this school is their sports field. It's so small compared to Patrician Brothers Fairfield.

Cerdon is a great school with its main focus being educating and naturing young woman. I've always found the staff accessible, informed and caring. If people are feeling they are better and classier than others please feel free to go to OLMC.

This school interns of academic is extremely high. I recommend this school to so many of my friends and most of them moved here and said themselves that this school is just absolutely wonderful in terms of uniform, school buildings/environment and people.

Before joining this school, Cerdon had a pretty decent reputation but the academic standards have dropped. Terrible environment with even mediocre teachers, wouldn't recommend anymore. Unsupportive and rude staff and even worse cohort who don't even care about academics. Sad to see how quickly the school has dropped in terms of well, everything.I wouldn't recommend this school at all if you want your daughter to be in a nurturing and academic environment. Most of this has been told to me by my disgruntled daughter and by my own observations.

Cerdon College is the premier Catholic all girls school in the region. When we decided to send our daughters to the College, there were a number of options available, including two Catholic All girls schools. Cerdon stood out at the time and had a fantastic reputation. Now both of our daughters have finished year 12, our decision was vindicated, with receiving fantastic marks and her peer likewise achieving highly. By sending to a non independent Catholic school, the girls not only achieved great results, but we also saved thousands of $$!! Thank you Cerdon!
