學校評價 | By Student - 2016年03月29日, 評價: 一般 | It's okay but there is heaps of bullying and the teachers don't do anything about it. They also don't help kids with learning problems as much as they should. | | By Parent - 2016年02月01日, 評價: 很差 | Pls I ask God to help you not sent your kids to this school. It just shows that they school knows off its wrong by those 63 students whete abuse by a teacher then covered up by the school and church. This is wrong in every way. Pls do not sent your kids to this schools. There is nothing good at this school. | | By Parent - 2015年10月12日, 評價: 優秀 | A very good school | | By Parent - 2014年01月02日, 評價: 一般 | I am quite sad to read the comments above. In part because I do not agree with the comments that the school is indifferent to the academic needs of children with extra need - whether it is help with the Spalding program or not. The other part of me however agree though that the school needs to step up in playground supervision. One teacher doing playground duty among 300 kids is just not good enough! There is in my experience too many bullying incidences, especially among the younger grades. As for little to no homework - that is completely inaccurate. I have three children in grades 2, 5 and 7 and I quite often think that the homework load can be less. My biggest concern with the school however is that there should be more communication between the school and parents. One parent interview night at the start of the year is not acceptable. There is for sure no open door policy - there is no Parents and Friends association, only a volunteer group. You are welcome to volunteer your time, but are expected to remain neutral at all times. The school are run as a business - yes, it is a Christian school but it is first and foremost a business. The yearly raise in school fees between 4-7% will assure you of that. So why do I send my kids there? Because of the teachers. They are highly trained and caring individuals that in my experience will always try to do their best for your child. Of course there are exceptions, but overall they are well loved and respected among the students and parents. No school is perfect. | | By Parent - 2010年01月24日, 評價: 一般 | The presentation of the school appeared impeccable. The Spalding method of teaching is remarkable, however the communication of teaching this method to students who have not commenced with the school from prep or year 1 was not effective in our experience. Instead our child was treated indifferent and lost all self esteem as it was not explained to him why he was sent to special ed, when his previous school reports were A-C. Upon enquiry we were informed that he required the extra tuition to teach him the writing/spelling program. The teacher had very little understanding about minor development stages (eg: low muscle tone) and had no want to hear of same. Little to no homework was sent home. I asked to be informed if I could assist my child to amalgamate by providing extra tuition outside of school yet the teacher failed to advise my son was failing until receiving the report card at the end of the year. Discipline was minimal and thus numerous children reaked havoc in the playground. Since my child has been removed from this environment and moved to a new school, he has become very popular amongst his peers, received average to good marks, but sadly lost his faith during his time at this school, which we are still attempting to aid his understanding to return to God. I am writing this letter in the hope the school can improve as I believe their intentions are good, but they are blinded by their belief that only the children who begin with the school are worthy of their concern. Jesus said "let all the little children come unto him". I believe they need to reflect on the goals they are attempting to achieve. | |
